New City Cafe

New City Café, a program of City Neighbors, empowers youth through hands-on learning in the kitchen and customer service. Make a difference today!

Enjoy a fresh meal and support jobs, leadership, and educational opportunities for young people. The cafe is an integration of our New City Farm and New City Bakery programs. The outdoor neighborhood cafe sells soups, salads, baked goods, and wood-fired pizzas made by high school youth from our own farm produce. Through the cafe, high school students learn culinary, baking, restaurant , and custom

er service skills. New City Cafe has created new youth manager positions, developed new opportunities for youth mentoring, and serves as a new community gathering place. Follow our page to stay up to date on our weekly menu! Each week we’ll feature seasonal soups and specialty pizzas. We’ll also have delicious baked goods, coffee, tea, and bottled drinks to enjoy. All items can be enjoyed on our porch, in our indoor cafe space, outside the "coop", or taken to go.
