Six years ago, I started TexBrötchen German Bakery with a dream and way too much flour on my apron. Today, I'm sharing some bittersweet news: I decided to close my little cottage bakery..
This wasn't an easy decision. This bakery has been so much more than a business — it's been early mornings, flour-dusted memories, and getting to know so many of you over coffee and Kuchen. I'm endlessly grateful for every person who placed orders and those who came to pop-up events, every regular who became a friend, and every celebration I got to be a small part of.
I'm stepping away to spend more time with my family and to dive into a new chapter: content creation. It's a chance to slow down, be present, and explore a different kind of creativity — one I can share from home.
Thank you for six incredible years. I hope you'll follow along on this next adventure — I'm not going far, just changing lanes. 💛

Barking Armadillo Brewing has been restocked with fresh cinnamon rolls and pecan Schnecken.

Today’s bake was a dark chocolate cake with German chocolate cake frosting as the filling, covered in chocolate buttercream and topped with chocolate sprinkles. Yum!

Today’s bake is a yellow cake with chocolate buttercream frosting for a friend of my mom’s. I’m not much of a cake decorator, but I think it turned out ok.

I am going to take some time off after Father’s Day to work on a new project.
June 2026 marks six years of baking German recipe breads, pastries and desserts and I’m thankful for all who have followed and been part of my journey thus far.
Change is good, it keeps it fresh for me and for you, so stay tuned for an upcoming announcement later in June. It’s going to be exciting!

Schwarzwälder-Kirsch-Cupcake. A dark chocolate cupcake from which I scooped a bit out of the middle, brushed with Kirschwasser and filled it with cherry filling, then topped with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles.
With some leftover batter I made a few for the family and topped them with 24 carat gold leaf… because I can. 😝
