Quick, what's your favorite thing about being a Zookeeper?? 🫵

In honor of Zookeeper Week, some keepers (and a staff) here at SFCTZ were asked a question on either an animal, a habitat, or something regarding their day to day life as student zookeepers! A few were quick, some others needed few seconds- ok, a lot of seconds- to think of their answers on the spot.

Some of the answers may shock you, tune in to find out what our keepers are saying!

It's Zookeeper week!! In celebration of such a wonderful week, we asked keepers and staff a single question.... highlighting a fellow peer!
As we got our answers from each question, one after the next, we would continue on in search of the next great keeper to give their kudos.

🗣⚠️🎳🗣TWO WEEK COUNTDOWN!🗣🎳⚠️🗣

As you can see, we at SFCTZ are all SO excited!
Our annual Bowling for Rhinos event will be here quicker than you know it, are you ready?

We will be holding our annual event at Splitz of Gainesville, July 24th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.

- The Bowling package will be $12 per person
- The Bowling and Laser Tag package will be $18 per person

We will have a silent auction, so if you would like to donate a little extra to a wonderful cause that helps rhino conservation and get a little something out of it, consider participating!
Look out for donations from Jacksonville Zoo, the Rattle Snake Conservancy, The St. Augustine Alligator Farm, as well as various other donations!

Congratulations to our new AAZK board members! They will be taking on their respective roles at the start of next semester, but have already been hard at work learning the ropes of their new roles.
Let's hear it out for our newly elected President, Treasurer, Secretary and Historian!

As for our current but departing board members, we thank you for your hard work that you have put in, and greatly appreciate your contributions into bettering our club in whatever ways you could. Regardless if your depature is due to graduation or a simple change of tides, we hope nothing but the best in each of your futures in whatever you do!

See you all for another great semester ahead!

Join us for Painting for Pangolins, an event supporting Pangolin Conservation! We'll be selling artwork at the Santa Fe Spring Arts Festival to raise funds. Your support would mean the world! We're accepting donations of art supplies up until the event starts and also taking art donations until April 10th at 3pm. Drop off any donations at the zoo's gift shop. We'd love it if you joined us!

COME JOIN US!!! September 27th for our annual Bowling For Rhinos event! We will be bowling and holding a silent auction with a lot of cool items to choose from! Even more importantly all money raised goes to Rhino conservation!

Happy Zookeeper Week! AAZK was proud to host this year's Zookeeper Olympics at Santa Fe College's Teaching Zoo. Thank you to all the keepers who participated, and congratulations to our winning team!
