We got on the red fish. And made memories. I’m glad he came along as we had an awesome time together while catching everyone on artificial lures.
It was a sight to see…from redfish swimming under neath our offerings to watching them push up a wake as they moved in for the top water bite.
Not sure how businesses are going to affected, but if you are able to come down…then let’s go fishing!

Just finished checking on hunting camp near Eufaula, AL. All was like we left in back in February. Before heading back home, checked my cell phone. So here’s a clip of this past Hurricane Isaias fishing trip. More to be posted tomorrow morning.

Idk what the river reading is. I do know we did not receive as much rain that’s typically associated with major storms. Here’s a picture I just took of Black Creek. As you can see, water has fallen on lower end of the Choctawhatchee River.
Though we have been without electricity since Friday evening, all is well as we count our many blessings.

All is well. Phone service continues to be an issue. Wife and I were able to get out and see our children. Also, checked on several boat ramps; all looked to be in good condition. Saw numerous power crews staged up and rolling. As always, there is hope. Best news we received yesterday was: Pathway Church of Freeport will be holding service at 10a.m. with or without electricity this morning. And you are invited to attend.

People often ask if I ever get to fish for myself and when my favorite time to go is. The answer is yes, though it is rarely under picture-perfect conditions.

In fact, one of my absolute favorite times to fish is right before and after a major storm or tropical system. For example, with Hurricane Isaias set to pass over the Emerald Coast this evening, we have experienced some of the best fishing of the season while running charters all week.

With everything now put away, there was only one thing left to do before buckling down: take my youngest son out to let him experience the magic.

Great trip this morning. We caught redfish, speckled trout, catfish, and lady fish. Action was nonstop. Shoot, we caught fish with every kind of presentation. Popping corks, Carolina rigs, and artificial lures. It was a proper fishing trip for sure…. they even got a true story to tell about the one that got away! After giving them a little extra time, I bid them farewell and safe passage on their plans to make it back to AZ.

It was a big time today. All of my anglers caught fish like it was going out of style!

Found a couple small schools of redfish feeding on top this morning. Would have been nice if they’d stayed up longer. But, hey, we had a big show for a 2 hour trip! This crew caught fish at every stop and had a blast!
