One of my favorite parts of the Summer Fancy Food Show wasn’t just meeting new people. It was finally meeting people I’d known for years.

Annette and I have been connected for a while, but this was the first time we’d met in person.

Some people have a way of making you feel like you’ve known them forever. That’s Annette. Genuine, encouraging, and always showing up for this community.

Still can’t quite believe this one. Justin Gold, founder of Justin’s, stopped by our table at the Summer Fancy Food Show and tried Sweet Maddie’s. If I’m remembering right, the word he used was “insane.”

The next day, he came back and brought a few others over to try the cookies too.

For our family, building this brand one relationship, one retailer, and one batch at a time, that meant more than he probably realized.

One of the best parts of the Summer Fancy Food Show was the founders who came to find us. Tyler Ennis of Tyler Ennis stopped by our booth to sample our cookies, and we talked about what real support looks like for founders. He shows up and does that work for this community, and it means something. Grateful he came by.
