Oh boy, this one was a challenge for sure!
I re-made this cake 3 times before I thought it looked decent 🤪. Some cakes are like that and as simple as they look they can be extremely challenging and time consuming.
I didn’t scale the stripes correctly the first time and the blue icing went up way too high plus my bomb pops were crappy looking. They were thick and had cracks which made the cake look unpolished.
The second time around I made the stripes way too thin but managed to scrape the blue icing off and rework it where it didn’t come up so high & hit lower on the cake, I also remade the bomb pops but the cake still felt off. The 3rd time I redid the stripes they looked better. By the end …I still felt like the red drip was way too dark but since it was a drip that was premade and that I ordered I was not able to change it!
