Good morning!
Here's another fun honey recipe. Honey lemon turmeric gummies. This recipe involves the use of gummie molds. I borrowed some from a friend which was nice. You can add more spices to these gummies. My choice was adding in ginger which I love.
My source for a lot of recipes are from Pinterest and from other various locations.
A new thing I learned was blooming your gelatin. It makes the gummies smoother in texture. The last picture shows what blooming looks like.
Noah (the author) calls them in the description as the little immunity warriors.
My taste testers offical #1 comment was they are not that sweet. So, if you want a sweeter gummie add the full amount of honey. I used 3 instead of 4 tbsps.
Recipe down below in comments.

After the nice 40 degree weather this past week the bees were able to come out and p**p. They do a once a month p**p to clear their systems out during winter time.
This is always a good time to check on them and see if each hive is surviving. The spots of yellow in the snow is bee p**p. The picture also shows some dead bees as well. As winter continues there continues to be bee die off. This is natural.
It puts a smile on my face to hear the buzz and know they are surviving.

When you are only 5 ft 2 1/2 inches tall and the honey boxes are over your head. Using a sturdy step ladder is needed. At the top step I can just barely see into the box.
The size of the purple box is called a deep box. After the bees fill it with honey and cap it with wax it weighs approximately 80 lbs. The white box again filled and capped with honey weighs approximately 40 lbs. It is tough work to be a beekeeper but it has many benefits. And a lot of love for the bees.
Cheers to another good honey harvest!

Bees carry pollen on specialized structures called corbiculae, or pollen baskets, located on their hind legs. These baskets are filled with long, curved hairs that help the pollen stick. Bees also use nectar to create a sticky suspension, further securing the pollen pellets to their legs.
This picture was from yesterday. It is impressive how much pollen they can carry. They are very happy bees with the warmer weather and the plants and trees blooming.
