This is the team behind the scenes. Hi 👋
If you’ve never met us, my name is Kara and I’m a SAHM, homeschool mom, cheer mom, church admin, head baker, wife, sister, friend…….
And these are 3 of my kids. Our oldest son is in medical school so he’s not around here much at this point but he’s included in all of the love here. ❤️
These 3 kids are homeschoolers, competitive cheerleaders (yes, all 3), and amazing kids. They’re bright, social, and family oriented. They have a desire to learn and grow and make things better than when they first encountered them. I’m so proud of them.
When Dough & Glow got started just one short year ago as a homeschool business idea, I didn’t think it would be something that would forge a way into our lives to create opportunities for growth, learning, and success in the ways it has.
Between actual baking, brainstorming ideas, business concepts, marketing, logo creation, color and branding kits, packaging, and showing up for events like farmers markets and other activities, I can say that truly, this little business has given us fuel and motivation to make the most of it. It has created a way to curate funds for their sports and hobbies that is a learning tool also.
Dough & Glow is near and dear to our hearts and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon in our plans, Lord willing.
We thank each and every one of you who has spent money on us, tried our products, given us a share or like, and spread the word about us. The events that you’ve attended and even just walked by commenting on our business name is something that makes us smile.
We want to continue to grow, make others feel the love from our kitchen to you, and hopefully make it possible for these kids to have the opportunity to reach the stars of their dreams too.
Come by and say hello if you ever see us out at an event, or drop us a love note on the back of our purchase slip at the bakery stand! We are happy to have you join us for the growth of this exciting endeavor! Our southern hospitality won’t turn you away ☺️

We had the BEST time at The Brick Store for the Night Bazaar last night!! Truly, I’m blown away with how much support and love was in this event!
I’m so so thankful to have been part of it and hope to be part of it for years to come. 🥹

If you weren’t able to make it last night, it’s definitely worth a visit in the future. It’s magical, cozy, fun and warm with the buzz of conversation, supporting small businesses and networking in our community.

We have had an incredible weekend here at Dough & Glow!

Our events yesterday were amazingly successful and also the bakery stand has had so many people come by! THANK YOU! It’s all of you, in this and our surrounding community, that bring us such joy and blessing in this endeavor.

The bakery stand has a few items left for this weekend, but we are already planning for next weekend! 🧡

We’d love to have you come by our bakery stand see us next weekend and on Saturday 10/17 at Guys Farm & Yard in St Albans 9a-12p!

🫣There are new items (🌿 dill pickle snack mix & 🥖white dinner rolls) we are going to try out so I hope you’ll come by and let us know how they are! We introduced our Stacks this weekend and they were VERY popular!

✨🧡The bakery stand will be open tomorrow (Sunday 10/11) but it will have only a few dough items left. Come on out and get a bit and check out the glow section!
More than likely it will close around 1pm.

🔸🔸Notice!
We are closing the bakery stand at 4:45 today (10/10) due to our evening event in Fairfield.
Come check out the Night Bazaar in Fairfield at The Brick Store to find our goodies and other awesome businesses!

It’s possible we won’t have the bakery stand open tomorrow, since we are fairly close to being sold out. I’ll post later tonight after the event to update!
