I had one last peony in my garden that I was saving for this cake but realized it was enormous and wouldn’t have left room on top for anything else. I’ve made the same birthday cake for this family many times, but I want it to feel different and special every year. No two are alike and I love that. Happiest birthday to you!!! Looks like it was a lovely weekend!! ❤️🍓

Vanilla cake soaked with lemon syrup and filled with lemon cream, roasted strawberry mousse and roasted strawberry jam. Buttercream tinted and flavored with freeze dried strawberries.

Wasn’t sure I’d be able to write something on a cupcake, but I wanted to do at least one super custom treat for our friend and neighbor. He’s an amazing kid/young man and we’re so excited and happy for him. On Seinfeld, “the summer of George” was supposed to be about George being as lazy as possible and spending the entire summer in his jams. When I’m thinking about “the summer of Jen” I always interpret it as having the most fun and productive summer ever 😅. Hopefully for B, it will be a combination of the two. Enjoy your time off! I love a girl who knows what she wants for her birthday party — hearts and flowers in red pink and purple ❤️🩷💜. You can design this a million different ways but I thought keeping the food coloring to a minimum would be a wise choice. It’s really cute and I love it. I also love having this little “smash cake” as a centerpiece. I don’t do custom stand alone 4 inch cakes anymore, but do as part of a set. Hope you had an amazing birthday party, my friend!! Thank you for asking me to bring the treats! 😘😘

Another busy graduation season in the books 😮‍💨😮‍💨. It’s a ton of work, but always such a joy to help families celebrate such an important milestone. This order was extra fun because it came with bonus desserts. There’s something extremely satisfying about making a really appetizing cookie and I was very sad to not have any left over this morning. Congratulations to the Exeter High School class of 2026!!! Have an amazing summer!!! ❤️

High school graduation cakes are so interesting. Despite all being very similar (school colors, mortar board, etc), each one always winds up being as unique as the student and I love that. We laid my father in law to rest yesterday. He and I could not be any more different 😅, but he was just the coolest person ever and I absolutely adored him. So many funny stories and wonderful memories. He touched so many lives and I am so very grateful to have had him in mine. When I graduated from the CIA in 1999, his gift to me was this blow torch that I have used faithfully for 27 years. I think he was confused about what I could possibly use it for 😅. Love you, Dad!! Really missing you today 🥹❤️

I needed to take this weekend off but before I wrapped everything up, I really wanted to squeeze this little order in. This family is the cutest and even though I didn’t have any prior personal connection to them, they have been customers from the beginning. I don’t know how they found me, but I so appreciate them!! My toxic baker trait is convincing myself that everything I need to do takes only 15 minutes 😅😑. I try to walk the line of simplifying without cutting corners which is really important when some things take longer than anticipated. Also it’s cold and rainy and gloomy and I think I was just having one of those days UNTIL my customers came to pick up and they were so happy, I got a big hug 🥹❤️. Totally turned my day around. Thank you! Their son and daughter graduated from college and they wanted to celebrate with a special cake for each of them. They both started somewhere amazing and are moving on to somewhere equally amazing!! What a journey. When my sons are finally done, I imagine I’ll be hugging literally everyone 😅. So happy for you all!! Good job, mom and dad! Have an awesome summer!!

The boy I babysit is the best. He’s so bright and curious and playful and imaginative and he knows exactly how to make me laugh. He’s the funniest. And the cutest!! And I love spending time with him ❤️. He wanted me to make his birthday cake — we started with Spider-Man, then switched to an under the sea theme since he was having his party at our local aquarium, then added Spider-Man to the sea (possibly fighting a shark??). Eventually he switched gears completely and wanted to do “jungle animals” which are in heavy rotation at play time. We looked at different cakes and he really liked the ones with the tiny party hats 😅. I bought some cute paper and made a bunch of little hats and tied them all on (thank you, Charlie, for the extra pair of hands). I love how this turned out!!! It’s one of my all time favorites. Thank you for the inspiration!!! You’re the best and I hope you loved your cake and your awesome birthday party!!! 😘😘

Junior prom time!! Always love to volunteer my time to this event. 250 cupcakes this year which was honestly a piece of cake compared to last time when we did cupcakes plus cookies plus a themed sheet cake 😮‍💨😮‍💨. I was on the committee that year so I think I kind of went crazy. It’s such a beautiful night!! I hope the kids have an amazing time!! Many thanks to my cute delivery assistants 😘😘
