Hi friends!
I have a couple of things I need to talk about!
Unfortunately I will not be able to go forward with the Small Business Saturday event this year. I was unable to find a suitable location that was : large enough to hold all the vendors, handicapped accessible and was available for the necessary date.
I was willing to change the date until I found out I needed surgery on my back which will be December 14th.
The Surgery is going to address the tingling and numbness in my arms/hands/feet. If I don’t get the surgery done it can cause permanent nerve damage and as we know as a baker my hands are my livelihood.
I will still be holding my annual food drive for Enfield Food Shelf, Inc. beginning mid September and running through mid November. It is so important to me to help our food insecure neighbors and I hope you donate generously! More details to come on that. (I will take both monetary and non perishable food donations).
Thank you for your understanding. It is my full intent to bring back the Small Business Saturday Craft Show in 2027, so stay tuned 💛

🌼 Appreciation post incoming!
As many of you know I have been working double duty lately.
In addition to owning this beautiful business that is Amycakes Baked Goods, I also work for the town of Enfield in the Registrar’s office. I feel so lucky to help our little town run elections and help people do their civic duty to vote!
With early elections and such I have been working almost every day between both jobs for about a month.
I would not be able to do all the things I do, such as the weekly farmers market at the Longmeadow Shops, weekly custom orders and my town job without the support and help of my family.
Mr. Amycakes, my daughter Parker and my son Benjamin have picked up the slack at home, manned the farmers market when I can’t be there and help with the oven and mixing from time to time.
Amycakes is truly a labor of love and a family affair.
I appreciate all the love I also receive from you, my amazing customers and friends. You trusting me with your special occasions or picking up some treats to bring home from the farmers market really fills my heart with joy.
