Update: I think I figured this frachact thing out! I just needed to post about it and embarrass myself first, a true and tried method for me that works!

Any cottage bakers use a MUNBYN RW403B? I've been trying to make this work and I'm having a very Neville Longbottom day..."why is it always me?"

Can't figure this out. How do you get the type small enough to fit? I don't have a computer so I'm only able to use my iPad which according to ChatGPT is absolutely fine.

Anyone have any tips? I am troubleshooting with ChatGPT, I'm just frustrated that this is taking so much time.

I’m trying something new called open baking. Instead of baking all my sourdoughs in screaming hot cast iron Dutch oven pots, I’m baking them on baking sheets with steam (ice cubes tossed in a preheated pan on the oven floor). It saves me the nonstop lifting of very heavy pots over and over and over. And I can open bake six breads in my double wall ovens, four on top and two on bottom. And I may still use the pots for my plain boules, or just 3 at a time in the regular oven, which doesn’t have the convection bake option that the double wall ovens have.

The picture shows the top three baked in cast iron pots, and the bottom three as oval shaped open bakes.

Just an FYI as some of the breads may look different BUT I kept an open bake experiment from a few days ago and it was delicious as always if perhaps not as pretty :)
