Easter from Little Village today has an Easter Egg Hunt at 10am, and some delicious surprises!

Some cute bunnies and robin eggs nests showed up in our kitchen this morning and they are both exquisite!

🐰 Labne Mousse & Mango Sponge Cake over a matcha “grass”.

🥚 Robin’s Egg: mousse, passionfruit
“Yolk” Dulcey chocolate (caramelized white chocolate) coated phyllo.

For our little egg hunters, we have hidden some empty eggs around our grounds at 1286 McClellan. Trade the egg for a surprise at Warda!

We hope to see many of you today! Happy Easter 🐣

Beautiful mornings are for cortado and a Kouign Amann.

When planning our viennoiserie program for our second location, our first decision was to make Kouign Amann, a laminated pastry from Brittany that was our personal favorite since having the best ones years ago in Montreal . Needless to say, the bar was high but we are stubborn women!

Thanks to our determined lamination queen , and many inhaled sad-ish Kouign Amann later, we can humbly say that we offer our guests the best Kouign Amann in this part of the country, every single day.

Kouign Amann consists of folding the perfect balance of high quality butter and sugar inside a viennoiserie dough, making it soft on the inside and a caramelised, crunchy, creme brûlée like exterior, that’s still not too sweet.

Try it with your coffee next time you visit us at little village.

From our family to yours, Eid Mubarak! May your fasting be accepted and your prayers fulfilled. 💝

From Mohamed’s family recipe of Tchicha bel za’atar, a traditional porridge like soup made on the first day of Eid in the city of Tlemcen, where he is originally from, to his signature Makroud (hands down the best) and the baghrir that made me rethink my entire childhood, find our favorite Eid pastries, and a detailed mint tea recipe, in the latest issue of .

Huge thanks to the best food writer for your passion, your stubbornness, and for beautifully capturing our family tradition. And to for the gorgeous pictures!
