A new series of Knock on Wood charms will be available this Friday at 9am MT (8am PT, 11am ET).

The knockers tap on petrified wood for good luck. In this collection, the wood is Opalized Wood, a rarer variety of petrified wood, and opal is October’s birthstone.

Some of you already saw, but there’s a new, vintage-inspired door knocker: the bunny.

A little geological history: Petrified wood can be millions of years old. Opalization happens when wood is buried unadderground and silica-rich water slowly seeps into it. Over time, the silica gradually replaces the original wood, turning it into stone while preserving its natural grain and structure.

For a little good luck today, from millions of years ago.

Old, but also new. Old Soul rings & skull charms Online at 9am MT!

Here’s what’s coming Wednesday 9/30 @ 9am MT (11am ET / 8am PT) 💀
The skulls were my very first repurposing project 6 years ago. They started with old diamond tennis bracelets — I would take them apart and reuse the baguettes as tiny rows of teeth. Since then, I’ve deconstructed more than 20 antique bracelets, giving all of those little diamonds a completely different life.
The skulls have evolved too. I started adding antique diamond eyes, odd little gemstones, and gold teeth where “teeth” were missing. Last year, I began setting them into vintage signet rings, keeping their original engravings and letting the old markings become part of the new piece. That became the Old Souls collection — old stones, old gold, old engravings, all reworked into something a little strange and new.
This Wednesday there will be 12 Old Soul charms, 3 vintage signets and 2 wide bands. And a few new bones joining them.
Here’s to hoping Mary H doesn’t come back to haunt us. 🦴

🍓 first taste of summer!

7 carnelian strawberry charms with tiny emerald seeds are live on my website.

I was super lucky and excited to take a “Stone within a stone” setting class with at this spring.

I’ve been practicing these new techniques for cutting/ carving stones. Of my first batch of 10, these 7 strawberries survived :)

It’s gonna be a “small batch” summer, with smaller collections on a flexible timeline to get a little studio time & baby time. Best of both worlds ♥️
