When you’re a wedding cake baker, making your own wedding cake feels a little different. This cake was especially meaningful because it was truly a team effort.

My husband baked every cake layer himself. The bridal cake was Almond Amaretto with Swiss Meringue Buttercream, and the groom’s cake was Italian Cream with Swiss Meringue Buttercream. While I was busy getting ready to walk down the aisle, he loaded, transported, delivered, and assembled the entire cake setup at the venue completely on his own.

For years, I’ve been creating wedding cakes for other couples, but getting to share one we made together for our own wedding made it that much more special.

Looking back, this cake wasn’t just dessert, it was one of the first big projects we tackled as husband and wife. 🤍

I’m very behind on posting weddings… but when a bride sends me photos from her big day, it honestly makes my whole heart so happy. 🥹
I only get to see a small glimpse of the behind-the-scenes while everything is being set up—so getting to see the wedding in full motion, knowing I played a tiny part in it, makes me feel so complete.

This vintage-inspired 3-tier cake served 78 guests and was $238, created for a beautiful celebration at Riverwalk Chapel & Hall 🤍
