A little late to getting this page up and running! Welcome to Sisterland Sweets where pretty meets yummy 😉
Here’s a little about how I came into starting this business…
It all started when I made a set of cupcakes for my moms birthday maybe 15 years ago. I still remember to this day they were beach themed cupcakes and everyone commented on them and said I should sell cupcakes. As the years went on I was always the one offering to bring the dessert to every holiday. I’ve made a little of everything but cupcakes, cakes, pies and cookies have been my most favorite to make. At some point I made some delicious donuts and thought about offering them to businesses downtown but never went through with it. The other side of me loves ”the little pretty things” in life. I’m a Virgo and if anyone knows what that means…we’ll you know this is right up my alleyway. I’m a perfectionist at its finest. It’s a blessing and a curse that’s for sure. I LOVE planning parties, decorating, and making sure every single little detail is perfect. If I could be an event planner and baker all in one that would be my dream profession. I love to make people happy and will sacrifice just about anything to do so!

Here we are many years later and I now have 3 beautiful babies all under 4. I won’t sugar coat it it is hard but all so dang worth it. I find myself coming up with every excuse and any spare time I have just to bake something and usually with the kids. So just recently I decided to experiment with Royal Icing Decorated Sugar Cookies after coming across some videos online I just couldn’t stop watching. I took a week or so to experiment with recipes and then royal icing and then putting it all together. It is very time consuming and a lot goes into making these little cookies. I don’t start until after the kids are in bed and am usually up until midnight or later most nights.
I now understand why people charge what they do!
