Had so much fun making this chocolate & peanut-butter mushroom log cake for Andria Elliott’s birthday! 🍄🎂🍄

We had such a great time seeing you all at Hartselle Depot Days this morning! ❤️🌸🐼 Thank you to everyone who braved the heat to stop by for a treat. 🙏

Unfortunately the heat got to be too much for us 🥵, so rather than risk product quality and personal safety, we decided to call it a day earlier than planned. 😓 Apologies to anyone who missed us! 🥺🙇‍♀️

We look forward to seeing you again at some upcoming events we have planned in November/December. 🗓️ 👀 Stay tuned for details!

Stay safe, y’all! 🙏❤️

Looking forward to a BEAUTIFUL Saturday morning at the Morgan County/Decatur Farmers Market!

This will be our last market for a bit while we get ready for Depot Days (9/19), so be sure to stop by and stock up on your favorite Japanese treats! 😋

UPDATE: Unfortunately, we’ve decided to take the L this week and will NOT be at market as planned. 😓😓😓 Instead, I’ll be cleaning up bread dough, thinking happy thoughts, and focusing on preparations for our next market day (August 29) so there are hopefully fewer unwelcome surprises. 😬🥺

Ever wonder what happens when bread dough proofs for too long? 👀😬

So anyway, we will not have shokupan for sale at tomorrow’s market. 🤦‍♀️🙇‍♀️😭

We WILL, however, have plenty of crystal candy, melonpan, anpan, and other sweet breads, so please still plan to come see us! 😊🫶😂

Shout out to one of our favorite fellow MCDF vendors (who happen to also be family 😉), Cotaco Creek Mushroom Farm, for their feature in the Decatur Daily! Be sure to check out their fresh, delicious mushroom offerings this Saturday morning at the Morgan County/Decatur Farmers Market! 🍄‍🟫 🍄

A fourth-generation Morgan County farmer is using a small portion of his family’s 370-acre farm near Somerville to grow an unusual crop for north Alabama: gourmet mushrooms.
