Shelly Mae’s is taking a short break to re-group and rest!! We love being able provide some delicious homemade breads and baked goods to you, but we need a rest!!

So….we will return to the Morgan County/Decatur Farmers Market on 6/13. In the meantime, check out our menu for that week.

Also, we recommend that you sign up on our ordering page to get the notifications when a new menu goes live, and you’ll never miss a sale again!! Preorder and pick up at the farmers market, River-City Pickers or at Shelly Mae’s own front porch. You can choose your pick up location on check out!!

Shelly Mae’s is taking a road trip this weekend to Sparta Tennessee! Why, you might ask? To replenish our organic ancient and heritage grains that we use in our fresh milled breads and bakery products.

Did you know that you can mill your own grain at home using a combination of wheat berries to make your favorite flavor of wheat? Our favorite combo for our Honey Wheat soft sandwich bread is Soft White wheat, Scottish Fife OR Clark’s Cream and Einkhorn OR khorshan.

Also, fun fact, when you mill your own wheat it retains the vitamins and nutrients, bran, fiber, vitamin E and B vitamins, protein, minerals, healthy fats and phytonutrients!! Whew! That’s a lot of goodness!

If you’ve ever tried our soft honey wheat bread, this is one reason it’s become a fast favorite.
