How's everyone holding up after the first days of school?

I've got two weeks in myself, and as I ease into the juggling act of mom-wife-daughter-educator-baker, this month will bring two chances to stock up on your favorite gluten-free dye-free sweets and treats!

They're "rooted in Wisconsin," and I'm "rooted at Homegrown Farmstand!"

If you haven't stopped by this quaint but bountiful store, you really need to check it out! Beyond providing so many of us cottage bakers with a space to connect face-to-face with our community, they offer:
🧀🥩A wide array of wholesome Wisconsin-made food products (My family's favorites *so far* are the Two Guernsey Girls Creamery milk and cheeses; maple syrup from The Stewart Homestead LLC and Zirbel maple syrup; and the incredible meats from Plum Creek Acres Farm, Kenneke Family Farm , Hidden Valley Farm & Woolen Mill and Eaton Highland Red Deer Farm .)

🧴Locally and naturally derived body products (like the unscented hand balm for hardworking hands by Kenneke Family Farms, which rescues my hands, nails, and cuticles from the constant handwashing that is part of running a bakery)

🎨📿🥣Beautiful artisan wares (like my charcuterie board from Queen Bee and my favorite spoon rest and coffee mugs from Rustic Creek Pottery that you may occasionally see in my content-- because coffee is life-giving as a mom, educator, and baker ☕️😉)

It's incredible to see the carefully curated offerings that Nicole and Chelsey have brought to the heart of our city. I'm forever grateful to them for connecting all of us local makers, bakers, growers, and farmers with our community and can't wait for you to check out their store!

Ignore the browned avocado-- I was so excited for these focaccia sandwiches that I forgot to toast the bread before spreading it and ended up throwing the bottoms in the oven😂

For many people, these are just sandwiches. To our family, this is a tray of togetherness. Inclusivity. Quality. We finally have real bread that tastes amazing, has phenomenal texture, and allows everyone to enjoy the same meal safely.🌞

Hey, De Pere area friends! Can you believe it's been over a month since we've seen each other? I've missed you 🌞

Tomorrow's my last pop-up before teacher inservice, and I'm so excited to show you what I've been working on! You'll be able to snag your favorites, like sea-salt chocolate chip cookies and original focaccia with flaky sea salt, but there are some exiting new flavors joining the lineup🧀🌶🧄

And, because fall is my favorite, I'm easing into the season with warm cinnamon notes. Brown Butter Snickerdoodles were one of my husband's pre-diagnosis favorites, and I think I've found a recipe that works! There will be a *very* limited number of these available, so be sure to get to Homegrown Farmstand to snag yours and let me know if you think they should be a regular feature on our fall menu 🍂
