Reminder that Book Club starts NEXT WEEK! ☀️🍋🌸

I wanted to extend the sign-up timeline a little longer to give a few more ladies a chance to join in. You now have until this coming Friday to sign up! The book will be chosen on Saturday so everyone has a few days to grab a copy if needed.

I’ve had SEVERAL women message me saying they’d love to come, but they’re worried about finding time to finish the book with little kiddos at home… or wondering if they even have to read to come hang out.

Come anyway. ❤️

The more the merrier. Bring a snack to share, your beverage of choice, a coloring book, knitting project, crossword puzzle… I truly don’t care. This is simply a chance to get out of the house, enjoy some adult interaction, relax for a bit, and spend a peaceful evening together outside the chaos of everyday life.

No pressure. No expectations. Just good company.

It’s happening 🤍

Months ago I had the fun idea to start a little book club… then winter showed up fast and it never happened. But warmer weather is finally coming back, and I would LOVE to make it happen this summer!

Here’s the plan:

• Easy sign up by DM
• I’ll create a group chat for everyone joining
• Everyone submits a book they’d love to read. Nothing political. Nothing religion based. We’re keeping this fun, light and neutral.
• We’ll add them all into a spinner wheel generator and let fate decide our monthly read 📚

Super low key and cozy, hanging around a bonfire. Bring a blanket, a lawn chair, and a snack to share.

Important dates:
• Sign up ends: May 23rd
• Book picked: May 25th
• First meet up: June 3rd at 6:30 PM

For our first gathering, I’d also love to do a BOOK EXCHANGE! I know I can’t be the only one with stacks of books sitting around that deserve another reader 🤍 Bring a book you’ve loved (or a few!) and we’ll swap.

Honestly just really excited for slow summer evenings, good books, snacks, and meeting new friends.

• Chocolate cherry sourdough boules cooling as I type this and hitting the stand around 3:00 🍒
• Triple chocolate muffins
• Homemade Pop-Tarts (first trial run 👀 not sure how I feel yet, so I NEED honest feedback on these!)
• Chocolate brownie bread
• Strawberries & cream cookies 🍓
• Fresh creamer and coffee pods for a free drink!
• Gobs of farm fresh eggs 🥚

Another day, another Lola post. She sure is precious!!

In other news, I’m giving the farm stand a little facelift today! Will be making more bath salts this week, ordered more bottles for my homemade vanilla extract to get bottles out asap, got a honey delivery from E’s Bees, and I plan to be open with lots of sweet treats, bread and dinner rolls on Wednesday (weather permitting)! It can stop raining any time now…

As always, there are fresh eggs in the cooler, $4 a dozen. We get about 3 dozen a day now so the cooler almost always stays stocked, even when the open sign isn’t out!

Today the twins and I ran errands, did a chick drop to the sweetest friend. On the way Gray said “mom, you can’t get rid of this one! It’s the sweetest!” I caved, brought her home, and she is indeed the sweetest. She has been perched on his shoulder for an hour while he did school. Snugged on his chest in bed and nuzzled his face with her beak. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a bond like this with a feathered animal but I am totally here for it! Meet Lola, our newest flock member! 💜🐥

Eggs are out at the stand!

We have:
- 18 packs for $6
- Dozens for $4
- Four 12-packs of bantam eggs for $2

Bantams are just tiny chickens, so they lay tiny little eggs.

For fun, I included a normal egg, a bantam egg, and a fairy egg so you can see the difference. Every now and then, a chicken has a little “misfire” and lays a tiny round egg with no yolk. It’s called a fairy egg!
