The Bible teaches us to close that door through repentance, removing what feeds temptation, and submitting to God.
* Turn from the sin toward God. “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.” — Acts 3:19.
* Stop giving temptation access. “Make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.” — Romans 13:14. For po*******hy, that means deleting saved material, unfollowing accounts, and blocking access.
* Guard your eyes. “I made a covenant with mine eyes.” — Job 31:1. Decide beforehand what you will refuse to watch.
* Flee when temptation comes. “Flee also youthful lusts.” — 2 Timothy 2:22. Close the screen, leave the situation, and turn your attention toward something good.
* Submit to God and resist the devil. — James 4:7–8. Pray, draw near to God, and answer temptation with His truth.
* Confess and seek support. God promises forgiveness when we confess our sins—1 John 1:9. James 5:16 also teaches confession and prayer with others; a trustworthy believer can help you remain accountable.
Closing the door means refusing to keep feeding what you are asking God to help you leave. If you stumble, confess and return to Him—shame must not keep you hiding.
