Well, it’s the final countdown to Thanksgiving and then all things Christmas for the next 29 days. Let’s throw a few more pumpkins on the feed before their time is up. 😊

Chris made this sign for me a few Christmas’s ago and I still love it so much. We’ve been talking about doing a laundry room reno project that would make it a laundry, mud room, storage area and with all the layouts I say, “now where’s my sign going to go?” 😄 What can I say? When you love something this much there’s no other option than to make space for it in your life. (Words of wisdom brought to you by The Laundry Co.) 🧡

Is it odd that I dislike Halloween but love to decorate for it? 🤪 Maybe it’s the fact that my existing cobwebs and dust just add to the ambience of it all. But aren’t these little touches fun?! Took about 5 minutes totally to get the container from the shelf downstairs and place these pictures/items. And it totally changes the feel of our house! Nice to have you back Grandma Irene and Grandpa Clay. 🖤

So proud of this little lady right here. Over the holiday weekend we celebrated her first Holy Communion. It was such a special time to share with my Godchild. She participated in mass and stood tall and proud as she received the body and blood of Christ for the first time. Tears welled as I captured this moment thinking about how grown up she is. Seems like not long ago she was a toddler stumbling around dancing to Justin Bieber. And then, about 3 seconds later, I tripped over my dress trying to get out of her way and practically fell face first into the first pew. God has a funny way about Him sometimes doesn’t He? ☺️ I managed to compose myself and get back in place to get the second shot of her with Papa (my dad). And just for kicks I added an iPhone photo to remind you of how pregnant I’m getting so you can get a really good visual of that trip. 🤦🏽‍♀️😆

These guys right her are my reason for being. I never knew how hard and rewarding a job could be all at the same time. Being a mother and wife fills my heart with such joy. I love these memories that we're making with these little peanuts and can't wait to watch them grow more and more. This is a little throw back to Mother’s Day weekend. Wish we were doing more of this today but it’s just too stinking hot outside. So instead we’re having an indoor movie day today. What are you doing to stay cool?? Happy Memorial Weekend!!

And on the 3rd day, they swam. Oh my, will you just look at this view! I have never wanted to have a pool in my backyard...until now! This is God’s country down here. What an amazing sight. Waiting on a few more family members to join us to start celebrating my sweet Godchild’s First Communion. Anyone else getting some water action the weekend? My heart is full this Mother’s Day. I don’t know if it’s this huge belly, or my blue eyed girl who wake me up with smiles and hugs and kisses, or my boys who have been planting flowers with me and taking care of anything around the house that I request.

OR, could it be memories of my own Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother’s, and Aunt’s. With age I’m starting to see all of them come out in me. Garden’s, baking, antiquing, creating, raising my own children...I can see how they have molded me into the woman and mother that I am.

I just feel so blessed to be living this life alongside all of them...my husband and children included. I hope you are all feeling equally as blessed this Mother’s Day.

Did you know today is ? What a lovely reminder to shout out those people who give of themselves in order to help make us better. To my big sister Devin, I am forever grateful. You have been teaching me since I was 4 years old. You taught me everything from how to set up the best Barbie house to how to make a killer paint can in college. You are one of those loving, graceful educators out there, who see children as brilliant bundles of potential. Thank you for taking the time to make each of your students (and all of their parents) (...and me) feel valued. Who are you appreciating today?

This sudden snow fall has me reminiscing about my last photoshoot of the winter. was stunning and totally rocked it! I just love that pink fuzz ball! Although I long for spring, I am suddenly excited about a day in, snuggled close to my babies. Who knows...maybe chocolate chip cookies are in order! 😋 Wishing you a fantastic day! (Oh! Simple. Classic. Mint. I 💕 this beautiful farmhouse window adorned in some remnants of Valentine’s Day. Just don’t have it in me to get rid of the pink yet! It’s a rainy, rainy day here in mid-MO and we have a birthday party and a meal prep class in store yet this afternoon. Excited to get out for some fun but man, enjoying a dry house while I can! Think happy thoughts! It’s gonna be a rainy week!
