🍂 DID YOU KNOW SEPTEMBER IS NOTORIOUSLY SLOW IN THE RETAIL WORLD?

We get it. Summer just wrapped up, school is back in session, schedules are changing, and the holidays haven't quite kicked into gear yet.

But here's the thing about Farm Hippie: behind our shelves are a whole lot of small businesses that depend on something that's pretty important when you're running a business—dependability. 💚

So this fall, we thought we'd make it a little easier to support your favorite local businesses now, even if you aren't shopping quite like you did in May—or like we KNOW you will be in December. 😂

🍂 Now through October 15th, for every $100 in Farm Hippie gift cards you purchase, we'll give you a $10 BONUS gift card!

And you don't have to buy one $100 card.

Stock up however it makes sense for you:

$25 + $25 + $50 = $100
$50 + $50 = $100
$100 = $100

Buying Christmas gifts? Teacher gifts? Birthday gifts? Stocking stuffers? Or just know you're going to spend it at Farm Hippie eventually anyway?

It all counts.

And YES—you can stack it.

Buy $100 → Get $10
Buy $200 → Get $20
Buy $500 → Get $50

You're helping keep dollars flowing through local businesses during a traditionally slower season, and we're giving a little of that love right back to you. ❤️

Available at Collinsville, Claremore & Bartlesville through October 15th.

Buy now. Shop later. Gift later. Keep it local all the way through. 🌻

The jars have officially been ordered. 👀
The cabinets are going in SOON.
And our Fillery vendor list?

Ohhhh, you guys. It is getting GOOD. 😍

The Farm Hippie Fillery — our locally made zero waste shop coming to Claremore — is officially moving from “big crazy idea” to “oh wow, this is actually happening.”

We’ve been working behind the scenes with some incredible Oklahoma makers to figure out what they’ll be bringing to the Fillery, and the list that’s taking shape is even better than we imagined.

Pantry staples.
Snacks.
Spices.
Home & Body.
Things you already buy.
Things you probably never thought about buying as a refill.

And we’re not telling you everything yet. 😏

BUT.

While the cabinets are being built and we wait somewhat impatiently for a whole lot of jars to show up, we want to hear from you:

If you could walk into The Farm Hippie Fillery tomorrow with an empty jar and refill it with ONE locally made product…

What are you putting in it? 👇

Dream big. Get weird. Tell us what you want.

Because while we already have an AMAZING list coming together, this little zero waste shop is being built for you—and Claremore gets to help us figure out just how far we can take it. ♻️💚

Peace. Love. Refill.

🌱 WELCOME TO FARM HIPPIE: TINY JUNGLE POTS! 🌱

Okay, this might be one of the sweetest little businesses to join Farm Hippie. ❤️

Meet Tina, the young entrepreneur behind Tiny Jungle Pots!

Tina loves gardening, plants, and finding new adventures—and somewhere along the way, she decided she didn't just want to grow plants for herself.

She wanted to share them.

So she started propagating and growing her own spider plants, pairing them with fun, one-of-a-kind little pots, and Tiny Jungle Pots was born. 🪴

And y'all... she does the work.

She grows them. She pots them. She takes care of her display. And when it's time to restock, there she is arranging her little plant babies and making sure everything is just right. 💚

Her goal is pretty simple: she wants other people to discover the same joy in plants that she has.

And with affordable prices and pots ranging from cute and colorful to wonderfully quirky, these make such a fun little addition to a desk, windowsill, kitchen—or wherever you need a tiny jungle of your own.

You'll find Tiny Jungle Pots at Farm Hippie Collinsville, right inside the front door!

Please help us give Tina a BIG Farm Hippie welcome. 🌱💚

We have a feeling this young entrepreneur is just getting started.

Happy gardening, Tina! 🪴

🥩 Can we talk local meat for a minute?

There are a lot of reasons we love having locally raised meat in our freezers, but one of the biggest is pretty simple: we know the people behind it.

We know our producers. We trust them. We can ask questions about how their animals are raised and where their meat is processed, and when you have questions, we can usually get you an answer straight from the source.

There’s a lot of comfort in that, especially when the larger meat market feels uncertain.

Buying local also means more of your grocery dollars stay close to home. You’re supporting the rancher raising the animal, the local or regional processor helping get it to the freezer, and families who live and work in the same communities we do. And every time those producers are able to keep doing what they do, our communities become a little less dependent on a food supply chain hundreds—or thousands—of miles away.

Right now, though, we do want to ask for a little grace when you visit our freezers. ❤️

Our meat producers are selling exceptionally fast, both through Farm Hippie and directly to their own customers. They’re doing their best to keep up because, quite literally, they’re trying to keep their neighbors fed.

But you can’t rush a farm.

There may be weeks when your favorite cut is sold out, a freezer looks a little bare, or a restock takes longer than any of us would like. That isn’t because anyone isn't trying to keep up. Small producers simply don’t have warehouses full of backup inventory waiting somewhere—and honestly, that’s part of what makes buying from them different in the first place.

So if the meat climate has you thinking a little harder about where your food comes from, get to know the people raising it.

And if you don’t know a local rancher yet, come see us.

We know some pretty great ones. 🐄💚

🌶️ Welcome to Farm Hippie, OK La! Foods!

We’re excited to welcome OK La! Foods to Farm Hippie in Collinsville and Bartlesville!

Meet Leconte Lee, the Tulsa maker behind a seriously good jar of Red Sichuan Peppercorn Chili Crisp—and a business name with a story we love.

Leconte grew up in Malaysia and is ethnically Chinese, learning much of what he knows about food simply by watching it being made at home: whole spices, plenty of patience, and nothing rushed.

After moving to Oklahoma six years ago, he found himself missing those familiar flavors—and unable to find them on the shelf.

So, naturally, he started making them himself.

And OK La! was born. 🌶️

Even the name brings a little bit of Malaysia to Oklahoma. “OK la” is an everyday Malaysian expression—something along the lines of fine, sure, alright then. As Leconte explains it, “OK” alone can sound like you're done talking.

The la keeps it warm. ❤️

He'd been saying it his entire life before realizing something else:

OK La!

Oklahoma.

Come ON. We love a good business name. 😂

Inside each 5 oz jar you'll find small-batch Red Sichuan Peppercorn Chili Crisp made with whole aromatics slowly steeped in oil. The result isn't simply hot—it's deeply aromatic and flavorful first, with an approachable heat even for people who don't usually consider themselves spicy-food people.

And there's no sesame and no peanuts.

Put it on eggs. Rice. Noodles. Dumplings. Roasted vegetables.

Or take Leconte's word for it and put it on vanilla ice cream. 👀

Why start a chili crisp business?

According to Leconte:

He missed the flavors.
Chili crisp deserves to be treated like the everyday staple it is.

And, obviously, to make a million dollars. 😂

We respect the plan.

Find OK La! Foods by the condiments at Farm Hippie Collinsville and Bartlesville, grab a jar, and then show Leconte what you did with it!

🍅 LET’S TALK PORCH STANDS!

One of our favorite things happening in the local food world right now is the rise of the good ol’ porch stand—and we LOVE seeing it.

Eggs. Sourdough. Produce. Jams. Flowers. Baked goods. Honey. Whatever somebody grows, raises, bakes or makes… set it out, put up a sign, and let the neighbors come shop. ❤️

It’s food freedom in action, and it’s pretty darn cool to watch communities show up and support it.

In fact, several of the vendors you already shop at Farm Hippie have porch stands of their own!

So this post is officially your permission to SELF-PROMOTE. 👇

Have a porch stand? Drop your location/page and tell us what you offer!

Have a favorite one you stop at? TAG THEM!

Let’s turn these comments into a little porch stand road map and give everybody some new places to discover. 🚗🌻

And while you’re making your local-food rounds…

you might as well swing by Farm Hippie along the way. 😉

Buying from the farm stand, the porch, the roadside table, the farmers market OR our shelves all does the same beautiful thing:

It keeps more of our dollars right here with the people growing, raising and making our food.

Now show us those porch stands! 👇💚

🐾 PRODUCT OF THE WEEK 🐾

Sometimes the things on our shelves carry a little more meaning than you can see at first glance.

This week’s Product of the Week comes from one of our talented bakers, and when she shared the story behind these cookies, we knew we wanted to share it with you, too. ❤️

Recently, she said goodbye to her best boy, Strax.

She’s made plenty of dog-themed cookies over the years, but she says these will always be her favorite.

An artist created a line drawing of Strax, which she then projected onto each cookie and recreated using a technique called “roundhouse”—the delicate line art you see drawn over that beautiful wash of color.

The result is a pretty incredible little tribute to a very loved dog. 🦮🐾

And now, a batch of Strax cookies will be available at Farm Hippie Collinsville.

We talk a lot about knowing the people behind the products on our shelves.

Sometimes that means you get to know a little piece of their hearts, too. ❤️

🥛 OKAY, FARM HIPPIE FAMILY… WE HAVE A DAIRY QUESTION.

And honestly? We’ve gone back and forth on this one, so before we make any decisions, we want to hear from YOU.

Swan Brothers has been our dairy since the beginning. They’re local, they’re a small Oklahoma dairy, and they’re a name many of you already know and love. Supporting businesses like theirs is quite literally why Farm Hippie exists. ❤️

But we also know grocery prices are grocery pricing right now. 😵‍💫

A gallon of local milk isn't inexpensive, and while some of you will choose local every single time, we also know there are families who would love to shop more of their grocery list at Farm Hippie if there were a few more budget-friendly options.

So… we've been looking at Hiland Dairy. Now, we know what you're thinking.

Hiland?! At FARM HIPPIE?! 😂 Hear us out.

One of the reasons we're even considering them is that Hiland is actually farmer-owned with operations right here in Oklahoma. They're certainly a much bigger operation than the small farms and makers you normally see on our shelves, but there's still a network of Oklahoma dairy farmers behind that jug of milk. While they're not "small" in the traditional Farm Hippie sense, they're not exactly strangers to Oklahoma either. 🐄❤️

It would also open up a WHOLE lot more dairy possibilities for us.

More milk options. More dairy products. And, importantly, prices that could make everyday staples a little easier on the grocery budget for many of our local families.

Would we stop carrying Swan Brothers? Absolutely not. They will always be a part of our store. That's not what we're talking about. What we're wondering is…

Is there room in the Farm Hippie cooler for BOTH?

🥛 The small, local dairy option you already know and love.

🥛 AND a more budget-friendly, farmer-owned option for everyday grocery shopping.

Because supporting local is incredibly important to us, but so is making Farm Hippie a place where everyone can shop, and although most all our products are on-par with competitive pricing against big-box, dairy is always our sticking point.

So we're tossing this one over to you before we make any decisions.

Would you like to see Hiland added to our dairy coolers?

❤️ YES — Give me options!
👍 NO — Keep things the way they are
🥛 MAYBE — Depends on the products/prices

Tell us more in the comments, too. We really are listening on this one.

This is one of those decisions we'd rather make WITH our customers than FOR them. 💚
