The Macaron Shop is closed and I don't know if it will re-open... the truth is I have been silently suffering with Post-Partum Depression and ptsd flare-ups from my past. I tried really hard to fight it off. I was in denial for months, until I just couldn't keep it together anymore. So, I had to make a very difficult decision to lock the doors again and focus on what is most important to me. I will be unavailable for some time while I seek out treatment. I love each and every one of you who supported me, even when you could not see behind the scenes.. your kind words kept me floating but now it is time to tread new waters...

Open on Saturdays Only doesn't mean I get the rest of the days off...

In reality, I may only get up to 4 hrs in the bakery before I have to go home, run an errand, feed the kids, or make it to a Dr's appointment. There are days that I am there early in the morning before anyone wakes up, and I'll have to rush home between feeds. There are days that I am there late late at night after everyone is tucked into bed, and I can barley keep my eyes open. Sometimes the macarons are finished up right as the door is opened. That is why you may have been seeing my lovely sister Cat behind the counter more than me lately. Truth be told, I haven't slept through the night in 6months, and that can take a toll on someone!

But with the support of my family and the kind words from all of you, I am still here pushing through, and with the economy the way it is I am grateful for every day I still get to do this. ❤️
