🙏🏽❤️ UPDATE — AND A MOTHER’S HEART IS A LITTLE MORE AT EASE. ❤️🙏🏽
After seeing this article about the USS Abraham Lincoln, my first reaction as a mother was fear.
My son is aboard that ship, so naturally my heart immediately went to him.
I reached out to him and, thank God, I heard from my son. 🙏🏽
I asked him specifically about the reports of food and supply shortages. He told me that there is enough food for them to eat every meal. He said it may not be a “5-star meal,” but there is enough for them to get by.
As a mother, that answer gave me some peace.
I still don't know everything that is happening aboard that ship, and I don't want to assume that every report circulating online tells the whole story.
But I do know this:
There are mothers, fathers, wives, husbands, children, siblings and loved ones back home who are praying for the sailors aboard that ship every single day.
So I'm asking you all to continue to pray. 🙏🏽
Pray for their safety.
Pray for their strength.
Pray for their mental and physical well-being.
Pray for their leadership.
Pray for protection over every sailor aboard.
And pray for the families who are waiting for that next text or phone call saying, “I'm okay.”
Today, I got mine. ❤️
Thank You, God. Please continue to cover my son and every sailor aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. Bring them home safely. 🙏🏽🇺🇸
If you believe in prayer, please leave a 🙏🏽 below for our sailors and their families.
