The Cincy Soul food truck event was cancelled at the last minute due to harassment from the City of Cincinnati. The fact that they went out of their way to sabotage this event that was to be held on private property speaks volumes. As small businesses operating in this economy, we’ve already been dealt a brutal hand. Many of us are barely holding on, clinging to the hope that somehow this weekend could be better than the last, while folks like Jerusha Kesler are out here actively creating roadblocks and barriers to our success. Shame on you, Jerusha, and shame on those you represent. Countless hours of preparation, planning, and resources go into getting ready for an event like this. I know some who spent their last on a prayer to make it back. If you see a food truck or street vendor around the city this weekend, please stop and support. We need you.
