It is with great sadness to share William Ball affectionately known as “Bill Ball” aka the creator of Uncle Villy’s Upside Down Carmel Cupcake transitioned from this Earth on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Bill was a pillar in the Bronzeville Community and was inspiring to everyone he encountered. He was loved and loved. He will truly be missed.

The beloved entrepreneur, known for his big heart and his caramel upside down cake, closed the bakery in March as he prepared to expand to a new location.
