September is National Honey Month šŸÆ and we can’t think of a sweeter way to celebrate.

Our Salted Honey Pie is rich, deeply caramelized, and just salty enough to keep you coming back for another bite. Buttery crust, silky honey custard, flaky sea salt—and a little reminder that sometimes the simplest ingredients make the best desserts.

Here’s to the bees. šŸšŸÆ

Honey, but make it a tart. šŸÆ

Our Honey Pepita Tart layers toasted pepitas and sesame with honey, all tucked into a crisp buttery tart shell and finished with swirls of tahini buttercream.

Nutty, toasty, floral, a little savory—and just sweet enough. Basically everything we love in a dessert.

And since September is National Honey Month, we can’t think of a better excuse to celebrate. šŸšŸÆ

September Is Looking Pretty Sweet

September is here, but summer produce isn’t ready to leave us just yet. This weekend brings Italian plums and sweet corn from Mick Klug Farm (https://mickklugfarms.com/) , the return of a few Floriole favorites, and plenty of honey as we kick off National Honey Month.

Three things to try right now:

Also arriving this week: Broccoli Cheddar Soup is officially back, made with broccoli from Nichols Farm, and our new Honey Cardamom Latte starts Friday with house-made honey-cardamom syrup and Metric espresso, served hot or iced.

Stock Up for the Long Weekend!

A quick reminder that Floriole will be CLOSED Monday for Labor Day. Stop in this weekend to stock up on bread, pastries, and a few things for your holiday plans—including French Onion Dip and Puff Dogs.

We’ll take Monday off and be back at it Tuesday morning. See you after the holiday!

And while we’re talking September: we’ll be celebrating National Honey Month (https://honey.com/) all month long, so keep an eye out for honey across the menu. Our Apple Raisin Challah is also available through September 17 for Rosh Hashanah.

Thank you, as always, for supporting Floriole, our team, our local farmers and producers, and organizations like Kitchen Possible (https://www.kitchenpossible.org/) that are doing good work in our community.

And if you love what we do, we’d be grateful for a 5-star Google review. It helps new people find Floriole and means a lot to our whole team.

See you this weekend!

Fall in a very French little package. šŸŽ

Our apple butter financier has all the cozy, spiced apple goodness of an apple cider donut, tucked into a buttery, nutty little French cake.

And it just happens to be gluten-free.

Apple cider donut energy. Financier sophistication.

One Last Taste of August—Then Bring on the Honey

We’re closing out August with a new cold brew and heading straight into Honey Month, apple season, and the first hints of fall. We’re open Monday from 8 a.m.–2 p.m., so you can get an early start on everything arriving this week.

Three things to try right now:

Thank you for supporting Floriole and the farmers, millers, and makers behind our food. If you’ve enjoyed your visits, please consider leaving us a 5-star Google review. It helps new customers find us and means a great deal to our team.

One Last BLT Weekend

We’re squeezing every last drop out of summer this weekend: tart cherries, juicy peaches, garlic twists, focaccia, and one final chance to get your hands on the BLT before it disappears for the season. Consider this your very delicious warning.

Three things to eat right now

And speaking of focaccia: Garlic Twists are back Friday and Saturday, made from our croissant dough scraps with herby garlic butter and Parmesan. We’ll also have beautiful Mick Klug (https://mickklugfarms.com/) peaches in the grab-and-go case.

Labor Day Weekend Is Coming

We’ll be closed Monday, September 7 for Labor Day, so plan ahead for the long weekend. We have Puff Dogs in the freezer that make an easy Labor Day addition—grab them while you’re in, along with bread, peaches, pastries, and anything else your weekend requires.

Thank you for continuing to show up for Floriole and for supporting the farmers, producers, and team behind what we make. If you love Floriole, we’d be so grateful if you left us a 5-star Google review. It helps more people find us and keeps our little corner of Chicago going strong.

See you this weekend!

Corn + poblano season šŸŒ½šŸ”„

Our savory galette is loaded with sweet summer corn, roasted poblanos and salty cotija, all tucked into layers of flaky, buttery pastry.

A little sweet, a little smoky, a little spicy—and very much worth making a mess of your shirt for.

The Last Bites of Summer

There’s still plenty of summer left on the Floriole menu, but some favorites are starting their final lap. This weekend brings back garlic twists, plenty of beautiful farm fruit, and one very important reminder: BLT season is almost over. Come hungry.

Three things to eat right now

Also this weekend: our vegetable quiche switches to leek & GruyĆØre on Saturday, challah is available Friday, and a limited batch of chocolate hazelnut puppy chow returns Sunday. Once the puppy chow is gone, it’s gone.

Back to School, Floriole-Style

Back-to-school season is creeping up on us, and we’re stocking plenty of good things to make the transition easier. Grab a loaf of bread for weekday lunches, pick up farm fruit for snacks, or tuck something delicious into a lunchbox. And remember: we’re now open Mondays, so Floriole is officially here for you seven days a week.

Thank you, as always, for supporting Floriole and the farmers and producers who make this late-summer menu so special. If you love what we do, would you take a minute to leave us a 5-star Google review? It makes a real difference for our little bakery.

See you this weekend!

Meet our new French Lentil Salad šŸ‡«šŸ‡·šŸ„—

French lentils, radicchio and carrots tossed with loads of fresh dill and parsley in a bright lemon-Dijon shallot dressing.

Seven Days of Floriole

Your Monday just got much more delicious: Floriole is now open seven days a week from 8 a.m.–2 p.m.! Stop by tomorrow for coffee, pastries, breakfast, lunch, and bread—and enjoy the last generous weeks of summer produce.

Three things to eat right now

We’re also busy developing a special dessert for Green City Market’s Chef BBQ (https://www.greencitymarket.org/chef-bbq) on Thursday, September 10. We’re thrilled to participate in this celebration of Chicago’s chefs, farmers, and local food community.

A quick entry note: Additional painting is happening in our vestibule this week, so you may be asked to enter the bakery through the front window. We promise it’s intentional—and perhaps the most Chicago way possible to get a croissant.

We’re hiring! Floriole is looking for friendly, hospitality-minded people to join our front-of-house team. Interested—or know someone who might be a great fit? Please get in touch or stop by the bakery to learn more.

Thank you for supporting Floriole and the farmers, millers, and makers behind our menu. If we’ve made your day a little more delicious, please consider leaving us a 5-star Google review. It helps more people discover our bakery and means the world to our team.

See you Monday!

White chocolate + raspberry = a very good reason to eat a blondie. šŸ’•

Buttery, chewy, and loaded with Valrhona white chocolate and raspberries from Ellis Family Farms. Sweet, tart, a little caramelized around the edges, and exactly as satisfying as a blondie should be.

Consider this your afternoon treat handled.

Garlic knots, blackberry season & no more Monday scaries

There’s a lot happening at Floriole this week: blackberries are rolling in, garlic knots have arrived, and we officially made it through our first open Monday! Thank you to everyone who came by and made it such a great start. No more Monday scaries—at least not the kind caused by a Floriole craving and a locked door.

Three things to eat right now

And while you're here, try the new Coconut Water Americano: espresso, coconut water and sweet coconut cream over ice. Caffeinating and hydrating at the same time feels almost suspiciously efficient.

Back-to-school season is coming

We’re ramping up for the return to school with more quick meals stocked in the Floriole freezer and extra sandwiches ready for packed lunches. Because getting everyone out the door is hard enough without having to invent lunch at 7:15 in the morning.

And just around the corner is Rosh Hashanah! Our Apple Raisin Challah is one of the things we simply cannot make enough of during the New Year season. Preorder yours early before they sell out.

Thank you, as always, for supporting Floriole—and for making our first Monday such a success. If you love what we do, we'd be grateful if you'd take a moment to leave us a 5-star Google review. It really does help more people find our little bakery.

See you soon (even on Mondays!),

Our Garlic Knots are basically a trip to the Olive Garden—if the Olive Garden made everything with flaky, buttery croissant pastry. šŸ§„šŸ§ˆšŸ„

Cheesy, garlicky, golden, and made with our croissant scraps because wasting good butter is a crime.

Come for the nostalgia. Stay for the layers.
