SUMMER IS SHOWING OFF

The longest days of the year are here, the rooftop garden is bursting with herbs and flowers, and the bakery is full of berries. As rhubarb season begins to wind down, we're welcoming a few new treats to the case and making the most of the beautiful fruit arriving from local farms.

What to look for early this week:

Bakery Vacation!

Every bakery needs a little vacation now and then. Floriole will be closed July 3–6 so our team can take a short summer break. We'll return on Tuesday, July 7, ready for berry season, tomato season, and all the delicious things that make summer in the Midwest our favorite time of year. We hope you'll use the long weekend to relax, celebrate, and enjoy time with the people you love.

We’re Hiring: Assistant Front of House Manager

Do you love hospitality? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where details matter and taking care of people comes naturally?

At Floriole, we’re looking for an Assistant Front of House Manager who will help lead our café team by example—someone who believes that exceptional service is built through warmth, initiative, and genuine care.

This role is approximately 80% on the floor and 20% administrative, working closely with our FOH Manager and General Manager to create an outstanding guest experience while supporting daily operations, training, and team development.

We’re looking for someone who:
✨ Loves taking care of people
✨ Leads with kindness and confidence
✨ Can jump behind the espresso machine, register, or hospitality station whenever needed
✨ Spots problems before they become problems
✨ Enjoys coaching and developing others
✨ Communicates clearly and follows through
✨ Takes ownership and isn’t afraid to make decisions

You’ll help oversee service, train team members, coordinate events, manage inventory, improve systems, and keep Floriole running smoothly—all while helping create the welcoming atmosphere we’re known for.

New Summer Desserts, Peak Strawberries & Plenty of Reasons to Stop By

The weather is turning, the berries are finally here, and our pastry case is looking especially good this week. We're kicking off the season with two new desserts featuring beautiful Mick Klug fruit, plus plenty of iced drinks, lemonade, and summer-ready treats to help you stay cool. We’re open Tuesday through Sunday from 8am–2pm and would love to see you.

June is Pride Month, and we're grateful to be part of a neighborhood and city that celebrates diversity, creativity, and community.
