Mommom's Bakery We are a mother-daughter team, Susan and Linda Goodliffe, and we've been baking for generations! We bake to order and deliver to you!

We are the only Mommom's Bakery in the greater Charlotte area, and we are the only Mommom's Bakery business registered with the state of North Carolina. Any other name similar to ours is not us, this is our only page. We also do cupcake, mini pie, and pastry (including cookies) towers and tables for events of all sizes! We are currently working on getting our own storefront and commercial

I almost took a picture this morning of the brown boxes all the pies I made last night were packed into, because that’s when I remembered that I need social media “content.” Then, I even forgot to do that because the thought immediately flew out of my head. So, here’s a picture of our cheese custard pie from a couple months ago. Mommom, THE Mommom, invented it, and eating it is like getting a hug.

Surgery went well this morning! All the hardware in my left knee is no longer there, and I’m walking around already. The pain and swelling is worse than I hoped it would be, but it’s being managed and I can bake in short spurs starting tomorrow.

Remember when I fell on May 21, 2024? Well, I’m getting all that hardware removed next week on the 3rd. I’ll only be down a day or two, so we’re not closing. Also, we’re hiring!! We need baking help! Yay! Mom and I have reached our limit, and I need more time in the day to work on growing our business, so someone else needs to make the pies. Google’s roll out of their AI “answer” engine has reduced traffic to our web site. So, I am doing two things, after trying to explain to Mom what Google is doing (she still can’t attach a file to an email 😂), I’m deGoogleing myself (yes, that’s possible), and I will pay more attention to Facebook and Instagram and open a YouTube account for the bakery to try to drive traffic to our web site via social media. Yet again we must pivot in this crazy world. I miss phone books. It took YEARS to get to where our phone was ringing every day. Yes, I’m angry, and I doubt we’re the only small business that will suffer at the hands of Google’s decision to shove AI down our throats. Here’s a picture, just because.
