I am cutting off orders for scones an hour early. Thank you all for the orders so far but I think I have reached my limit for getting them all baked fresh in the morning. It is going to be an EARLY morning! 😂

I was at the Farmer’s Market recently, (love our new Pavilion) and I noticed a lot of bakers. And there is rise of cottage bakers and roadside stands of late. The one thing that I discovered almost 6 years ago when I started my bakery was the cost of packaging. 😬 You really have to figure that into your pricing. Here’s how it works in case you’re new or have forgotten.

Scones sell in quantities of 4 or 8. The 4 count is all one flavor and sells for $13. The 8 count can be one or two flavors and sells for $25.

(Raspberry filled is only sold in 8 count. Bacon Cheddar is $1 extra.)

Today we celebrated my daughter’s 25th birthday with a Summer Market Swap. Unfortunately, quite a few of the ladies we invited were unable to attend for various reasons so our group was small but really fun. Everyone brought something to contribute to the swap. I ended up putting out several things and providing canvas bags for the girls to decorate. They all really enjoyed it. A couple of them didn’t quite finish before we took the picture but went back later and finished it up. We made Sun-dried Tomato Turkey Ciabatta Sandwiches, had fruit cups, veggies, chips, and dip, along with a bowl of pistachios and chocolate caramels for dessert. We also mixed up a Passion Fruit Lemonade. Though small, I would say it was an overall success.

These ended up being great products. Be sure to wash the canvas bags before applying paint. You will have to iron them after washing and drying.
The markers are an 80 pen set so lots of colors to choose from. And the stencil set has so many cute options you will want to put them on everything!!
