What’s in the store today?

We just made a large batch of Spicy Boudin! There is some in both the refrigerator and the freezer!

We have restocked the Mild and Hot Pork Pan Sausage and the Ground Beef Roast!

2 more loaves of Pumpkin Bread just baked this morning!

We just got a fresh shipment of Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese!

We have plenty of Local Raw Honey from Pecan Orchard!

Have you ever wanted to try Maria Carrasco’s tamales but didn’t want to commit to a whole dozen? We have some individually wrapped ones in the freezer above the fridge for $2 each! These are the pork ones and they are delicious!

What’s new in the store today?

We smoked yesterday! Today we have some beautiful smoked pork tenderloins as well as some smoked pork tenderloin steaks!

We also have some beef hot dogs! These are delicious and no mystery meat or organ meat or cheap fillers! 

We still have 2 loaves of Pumpkin Bread and 1 Buttermilk Pie!

I’m still experimenting with my melty cheese! I made mac and cheese for lunch today and it was so good but I’m still working on correct ratios! I only had 3 oz of pasta shells so I boiled that and drained it. Then melted a 1/2 lb tub of melty cheese with 3 oz of milk and a tablespoon of butter and then mixed in the pasta. It was quite saucy so really could have used more pasta, but it was really good! I am very pleased with it!

What’s in the store today?

I have been busy this morning!

I made 5 lbs of melty cheese (Velveeta type)! It’s in the fridge and the other batch has been moved to the freezer!

Also made a full batch of Sugar Free Strawberry Yogurt!

Then I picked 7 beautiful eggplants from the raised beds and put them in the store! We are totally sold out of our new potatoes!

Later today I will make some more sweets, I’m thinking brownies and Rice Krispie treats…..then tomorrow I hope to have our new ice creams in the store!

FYI - I love and appreciate all of our customers! Thank you all so much for supporting our little store! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

What’s new in the store today?

Our garden has been a fiasco this year! We have planted peas and beans in the big garden twice and they were flooded out and we are planting again today! The tomatoes have been a total loss too! We haven’t had produce in the store since we ran out of greens and turnips! But I picked some beautiful eggplants from the raised beds and have them in the store today with some of our new potatoes and a little bit of yellow squash and peppers! It isn’t much but what we sell has been grown here!
We were really low on eggs too and started buying from someone else to keep our customers supplied with eggs but one bad egg has changed that! From now on the eggs in the store will only be our own! I just need to buy some more good chickens if I can find some!
I made gumbo yesterday and have put 3 quarts in the store along with 2 quarts of rice!
Oh and I did get some vanilla bean paste made and I am really happy with it! Use it just like you would extract in a recipe!
There is still lots of Kimchi available for those who like it HOT!

What’s in the store today?

Freshly baked little mini pumpkin bread loaves! These are already in freezer bags for your convenience! Store in the freezer and pull one out when you need it! Freezing makes them more moist too!

We have a new shipment of Wisconsin Cheddar Cheese!

A fresh batch of my Hot Kimchi! I only make this once a year and this is it!

Also, a fresh batch of vanilla extract is in the making! I only make this once a year too! This batch will be okay to use by the Christmas season but is even better after a year! I will be making vanilla bean paste, vanilla powder, and vanilla sugar with the beans I have leftover from last year!

What’s new in the store?

We smoked all day yesterday and have hot pork link sausages, chicken leg quarters, and baby back ribs for sale in the store today! However all the ribs were spoken for before they even came out of the smoker! Sorry!

We still have a Buttermilk Pie, one loaf of Honey White Sandwich Bread, and slices of Amish Pecan Pie available!

I made Strawberry Yogurt sweetened with Monkfruit Sweetener with Erythritol and it’s pretty good! Most of it has already sold but I will be making more flavors soon AND we will be offering ICE CREAM soon!
