The kitchen smelled of heavy brown sugar and bubbling butter, a warm shield against the autumn chill outside. Tracy stood at the stove, her hands steady as she arranged the golden pineapple rings in the bottom of the old cast-iron skillet. Right in the center of each ring, she dropped a bright, ruby-red maraschino cherry, a little jewel waiting in the dark.
She poured the simple yellow batter right over the fruit and slid the heavy pan into the oven. For forty minutes, the house filled with the scent of vanilla and caramel.
When the toothpick came out clean, she didn't wait long. With a deep breath and a quick, confident flip of the platter, the world turned upside down. There it sat: a sunburst of amber glaze, shining fruit, and quiet comfort—proof that the sweetest things in life often start on the bottom and work their way to the light.
Yes, upside down pineapple cake is a cottage food in the state of Ohio. And now you can enjoy this piece of art this evening with your family if you like.. these will be going on the front porch as soon as they cool..

😂You can Never make a cookie too big for the baker and these Peanut butter Cookies are a mouthful 👩‍🍳 these will be going out on the front porch this morning, along with Brown Butter chocolate chip cookies..
