Since its founding in 2014, LadyCakes Bakery has grown beyond its founder Bess Charles’s wildest dreams. Located in Cape Coral, Florida, LadyCakes has become a household name for high-quality baked goods and exceptional customer service. Over the years, LadyCakes has earned numerous accolades, including being named "Best Bakery," "Best Cakes," and "Best Cupcakes" by Breeze Newspaper from 2014–2022

. The bakery has also garnered the prestigious Couples Choice Award by WeddingWire.com and Best of The Knot from 2015–2023, recognizing it among the top 5% of wedding vendors in the region. In 2019, LadyCakes was honored as one of the "Top 10 Bakeries in the State of Florida," and in 2020, it received the Outstanding Customer Service Achievement award from the Florida Tourism Association. The bakery’s exceptional creations have been featured in national publications such as Brides Magazine, Style Me Pretty Magazine, Weddings Illustrated, Inside Weddings, The Knot Magazine, USA Today, and Martha Stewart Living Magazine. LadyCakes Bakery even ventured into literature in 2020, publishing a children’s book series to inspire a love of baking in young readers. Bess “LadyCakes” Charles discovered her passion for baking while raising her family as a stay-at-home mom. After almost completing a degree in criminology with a focus on psychology at LeMoyne College, she realized her true passion lay elsewhere. She began experimenting with baking and cake decorating, teaching herself through trial and error. With support from her husband, Jeff, who later joined as the bakery’s lead baker, Bess turned her hobby into a thriving business. Today, LadyCakes is not only a place for extraordinary cakes and baked goods but also a pillar of the Cape Coral community. The team at LadyCakes is dedicated to giving back through partnerships with local charities and organizations, spreading love and joy through their craft. Outside of running the bakery, Bess continues to inspire others as a speaker and author, sharing her journey to encourage young women and children to find their passion and follow their dreams. When not at the bakery, Bess enjoys attending her son Tyler’s baseball games and supporting her daughter Katelyne’s artistic endeavors.
