We made our first Cake for Kids order today! We were even able to get some candy and a $25 giftcard thanks to a donation. I also got several inquiries after posting about the new program to a local group.
The Cake for Kids Program was inspired by a request from a local mom group asking for a birthday cake. It's been on my heart to start a program like this, but I didnt know how to do it.
As I was making arrangements with the girl's mother it dawned on me that I could create a form on my website. I found I can even take donations! My goal is to donate four cakes per month / one per week. The donations will contribute to the effort/design/toppers/supplies for our program. All remaining procedes will be used towards gifts/giftcards or saved in an account dedicated to our program.
If you know anyone who could benefit from this or who might know of some children who can be nominated please share my program with them. Consider giving back to the children in our community by making their birthday as special as your own childrens! I'm so excited to have created an opportunity to brighten a child's special day. Every donation, no matter how small recieves a 10% discount on any item in our shop.
