Snorlax in his happy place

Loved putting all the little details together on this one—from the sleepy fondant Snorlax to the piped greenery, tiny flowers, rocks, and woodland background.

And inside? Hojicha + Matcha

Each cupcake is completely hand-decorated—from the hand-cut fondant kitty face and bow to the piped details, eyes, and whiskers.

A very busy weekend at Petite Sakura

A little look at some of the cakes and cupcakes that left my kitchen this weekend — and yes, there were even more that didn’t make it into the photos!

From vintage hearts and florals to fall cupcakes, birthdays, and a little honeybee celebration, no two orders looked quite the same.

Lots of baking, piping and tiny details — all made by hand.

A special cake for a truly wonderful client

Yuzu cake layered with blackberry preserves and finished with lemon buttercream. For the design, I wanted to create something elegant with Asian-inspired details—hand-cut fondant corners painted with edible gold glitter, delicate edible wafer-paper cherry blossoms, and touches of edible gold throughout.

So many little details on this one, and I loved bringing them all together.

Miso maple cake with hojicha buttercream — warm, nutty, and just the right balance of sweet and savory.

Don’t be shellfish, share the cake! 🦞

A little seaside-inspired cake with lots of hand-piped details. The lobster was completely piped by hand, along with the lettering and buttercream borders. Finished with seashells, starfish, pearls, and red ribbon bows for a fun coastal look.

Everything on this cake was done by hand — no edible image or printed lobster here!
