Possibly one of the best cakes I’ve put on my menu in awhile now….. Candied Bacon Maple cake. Let’s talk about it😉 I started with my signature scratch made vanilla cake for a solid base and then I whipped together a batch of scratch made maple buttercream (made with pure maple syrup). I filled this cake with scratch made candied bacon pieces in the center and on top. It’s the perfect play on flavors and such a fun flavor to make🤎

Was I candy making late into the night with a podcast last night? Betcha I was! I’m bringing back my beloved candy apples and turtle candy on the menu this week✨ I wanted to put the turtle candy in the spotlight today because they are slap ya mama(gently) GOOD. I start by toasting a tray of pecans then making a batch of my scratch made caramel. The same caramel I make for my millionaire bars that y’all enjoy so much. After a dollop of caramel is poured over the top of the pecans you finish it off with a dollop of chocolate and there you have it. Simple, sweet, decadent, all the things ❤️ Check my full menu below

Peanut butter protein balls I made for myself last night at home🤗 How would y’all feel if I rotated these on my bakery lineup for a treat that is a lil more guilt free? I’m often asked if I can add different alternatives here & there. I started making these many summers ago when I spent a lot of time in a little place called Sunbury Ga (on the coast.) You talk about hottt. Aside from an occasional sorbet, the only thing that didn’t make me feel gross were these peanut butter protein balls. If you wanna make them yourself you can totally tweak this recipe! Add chia seeds, walnuts, etc. Substitute peanut butter for almond butter, dark chocolate chips for semi-sweet or white chocolate. Don’t like flax seed? Leave it out or substitute for protein powder. It’s gonna satisfy your sweet tooth no matter what!❤️🦷🥥🥜🍫🍯

When I was visiting with my friends a couple of weeks ago they asked me to come over and make “Viral Dot Cakes” (first picture). I don’t keep up with trends and I explained they are simply cake cups with extra sprinkles on top but I obliged 🤣 I made them as a joke but I had a surprising amount of people message and ask me to make them at the bakery. I’ll have them today and tomorrow! I didn’t have rainbow Nonpareils so I did a version that is red/white/pink but the same crunchy sprinkles. My version is scratch made chocolate cake, scratch made chocolate buttercream and TWO layers of sprinkles. 💖
