Sweet Cheeks

Sweet Cheeks Sweet custom cookies for any occasion. And wedding cakes to make your day extra sweet I then worked at Market Basket and gained more skills there.

I started to gain my cake artist skills when I started working in the bakery at Butcher Boy Market in North Andover, from there I practiced with multiple different piping tips and created my own new techniques. I left the cake "industry" for a short while before applying for a job at Cakes by Erin. After I got the job I studied more awesome piping techniques online and practiced them at the shop.

Anyone that followed me back when Jolie was a baby knows the chokehold bows had on me 🤣 I was one of those mamas that coordinated bows every single day with her outfit. She’s 3 now and isn’t into bows as much as I thought she’d be, but it’s fine. I get to make cookie bows now instead 🤣

The how’s were an absolute labor of love. Those mustard flowers had my hand cramping. But it’s totally fine 🤣

Butterfly cookies. I’ve seen so many beautiful ways to interpret them. Painting, texture, floral, they are all stunning. I wish I could tag the person who first thought up the half flora petal butterfly, but I’ve seen it so many times I’m not sure who to tag!!

I added my spin on it by adding a stencil to the other half and still piping the veining of the wing all monochromatic.

This set was so challenging and so fun. I can’t wait to reveal the rest!

“I’d like to order bridal shower cookies in a bee theme” say less. I’m on it. Bee themes, I’m not sure what it is about them, but I can’t resist them. They make me so happy and I love trying to figure out fresh new designs every single time.

This is a theme that I will take over and over again and each time I will push myself to make new designs. Because if I’m just doing the same thing over and over again, what’s the point??

Also, side note…keep an eye out for a fun post later today with some other cookie friends. I can’t wait to share!

*Swipe to see the inspiration for this cookie*
I wanted to add some bee details into this set that were wedding decor related but not necessarily in your face bee (if that makes any sense). I thought this mason jar would be the perfect addition. I posted a reel a few weeks ago on how I achieve this look.

Fun fact, I got my new iPad Pro last year mostly to use procreate. Andddddd I almost never use procreate 🤣 but I have really tried to get into it with some of my sets lately. This client sent over a couple photos of the couple and I couldn’t help but be inspired to do a line art cookie using their picture.

So I taught myself how to add layers and trace in procreate (honestly super easy but for me, it took time 🤣)

And for this cookie I did use a projector to insure the lines were where they were supposed to be and it all fit perfectly in the cookie. I know I often talk about not being stuck to your projector, and I stand by that! But sometimes it’s completely necessary for your work!

This design. I had gone back and forth with it so many times. I knew I wanted the black base to make whatever I chose to go on top POP. I also knew I wanted all the hexagons on top to be transfers, including the white ones so they looked like they were coming off the cookie.
But I didn’t want them to be plain. I played with the idea of line work florals or watercoloring but it just felt too cluttered to me. Then it hit me. Stencil on the icing. And I instantly fell in love.

Then I stenciled white hexagons on parchment using large and medium sized hexagon stencils from once those dried, I painted on the gold for dimension. And then those were meticulously placed on top, again, to add more layers and dimension.

This cookie took the longest in the whole set, and I regret nothing about it.

This next set, the obsession I had with making it is insane. I did over 8 designs for this set and I don’t regret a second of it. The first one, the hand drawn bee, one of my favorites. It’s so simple, yet took so much time.

I used the pen on this cookie and the cutter is from

Black and white wedding with classic greenery. The couple wanted timeless and classic. The bride specifically wrote in her brief that she loves black and white photography, so obviously that had to make its way into the set!

My favorite part of this set was playing with the balance of dark and light. If you know me, you know I love a black cookie disruption in my sets. So when specifically asked to include that color in the set, well I’m in my element at that point. But you have to be careful not to add too much black then the set will be too dark and gloomy. Too white and you don’t get that disruption.

These photograph cookies are slowly becoming a favorite of mine. The couple had informed me their wedding was at and I know that venue has some of the most beautifully landscaped gardens and architecture. I reached out to my friend and asked if she had any photos from their gardens that I could use, and of course she pulled through with this column arch! I turned it black and white to fit with the brief of the couple loving classic black and white photos, hand painted it on the cookie and, voila!

Side note, I feel like the black and white painting was probably harder than color. Trying to get the shading right and not go too light or too dark, super difficult. But I love the way it turned out!

I love watching cookiers such as or shape and mold their royal icing. Something I didn’t think to do often! But for this bow, I wanted more dimension. So I let the icing sit just for 2-3 minutes after flooding, and then i took my scribe and gently pushed into the freshly crusted icing to create the folds in the bow. I love the way it came out!

Also, this cutter is from and is meant to be a newborn bow. But I love integrating it into my wedding sets!

Champagne to celebrate a new marriage! The couple had mentioned in their brief that the feel was classic, timeless and lots of champagne! So obviously I had to add a champagne bottle to their set, along with their own label I drew up.

Cutter from
This particular cutter was quite big, maybe 4.5” tall at least. But it was the perfect size for this set and to really get all those details in the label.

The fluffiest little bear there ever was!
I’ve made this bear multiple times but I ALWAYS try to change it up a little each time. Where’s the fun in doing the same thing over and over again??
This cutter was one of my OGs from a Wilton variety pack.
I encourage you to change up designs every time you do them. It’s ok to use the same shape multiple times, just make it different. Push yourself.
You’re capable of more than you think!

Yes, I did have to get in on the nursery wall trend idea!! Peep the cutest and lightest little cloud “wallpaper”.
This was one of those multi step cookies. Pipe the white, wait a bit, pipe the blue bottom, make the “wood” transfers and let those dry. Pipe the wains coating. Paint the clouds once the white flood was dried. One the transfer is dried, paint on good grain. Pipe the lettering. Transfer the transfer. Add the greenery. Loads of steps, but if if you it right, it can be smoothly and easily done and doesn’t feel like it is taking forever, nor does it actually take forever!

Let’s talk transfers. First of all, check out a few queens of transfers here

These are just a few, but have you been using transfers?? If not, you need to start. First of all, you can up your designs so much with adding depth and dimension. You can make them far ahead, and save extras. You don’t have to worry about cratering but adding details on too late after your base icing has dried. There’s so many benefits to transfers!! I haven’t utilized them nearly as much as I should, but I’m getting back into them now and I love how they look!
These she’ll transfers took me less than 10 minutes to pipe out for the 4 cookies in this design and I tried to made 6+ shells per cookie.

Sweet little Alice turned three and wanted a tea party with lots of flowers and some friendly bugs. Happy to oblige. ☺️

This is the first ever set (I think) that I 100% handpainted, thanks to an awesome watercolour class by Sweet Cheeks. Lots of practice still needed, but it was such fun!! Highly recommend this class if you’re interested in trying a new technique! Apparently you CAN teach an old dog/baker new tricks! 👩🏻‍🎨 🎨
Update- Congratulations !
