It’s been a long time since I’ve gotten any unhinged tea from a customer or unhinged responses, I truly have found my people but I will NEVER forget this one time.
Back when I was making cakes, I had a bride reach out inquiring about a wedding cake. She was very particular of what she wanted and nothing could sway her mind. That’s fine, you want what you want! She wanted a 3 tiered cake but only needed it to feed 25 people. I explained a 3 tiered cake would feed way more than 25. She insisted it still be 3 tiers and have it all be cake. I said ok, and I gave her a price. She questioned the price. I explained price per slice, etc and she goes “wait…what are you charging me for 60 slices? I only need 25!” I politely told her that regardless of how many people she wanted to feed, the cake ingredients, and labor doesn’t change because at the end of the day the size is the size she wants. She was NOT happy with me.
There is so much more to this one…it honestly deserves its own story time 😵💫😂
