Sourdough starter really doesn’t have to be complicated. 🫧

When I feed Brenda, I start with a simple 1:1:1 — starter, water, and flour.

Then I eyeball it.

If it’s still too thin, I add more flour until I get the consistency I want: thick, scoopable, and not runny.

From there, I cover her loosely, leave her at room temperature, and let her do her thing.

When she’s doubled, bubbly, and active, she’s ready to bake. 🤎

You don’t have to obsess over getting the measurements perfectly exact. Watch Brenda, not just the clock or the scale.

Want my full guide on how to feed and care for your starter? Message me and I’ll send it your way!
