Good morning., yahteeh abini' Buenos dias les de dios. The morning is crispy cool. When you can feel the coolness of of the morning air is crossing with the warmth of the sun coming up. Growing up in Cuba we had little bit of everything. Like The Hotel that served as the Grey hound bus stop, burned down a few years back. Across the street we had Dr. Store's office. The small building still stands I wonder what happened to that big white clock its not there any more. Right next door is the catholic church, and the old two story Convent. The church is still there with A church hall next to it. The convent is gone. Yeah and then there was sister Rose Anne. While some people left others came in who remember the hippies. Walking on the side of the road to where they lived. Dad would stop they got on the back of the truck and drive up los pinos they would tap the side of the truck , they jumped off and continued walking and we drove on. Memories of Cuba and the small surrounding communities.

Driving North, at a distance you can See Cabezon Peak. You drive past the ruins of warm spring just coming down the hill on 550 the turn off sign to San Luis is visible. When you turn and follow the two lane highway. You come arround the bend to the community of San Luis., as you drive through you see the peak. At the bottom is the historic ruins of the, town Cabezon. Where the pavement ends is. ( Some call it cabezon de los Montoya. The landscape and the beauty of the different shades of colors of the earth surrouned by the vast and various hills and rock mountian peaks there ia the historic ruins of Guadalup and Casa Salasar ,now family owned ranches. That single dirt road curves though the mountians with fences on some sides with gates locked. you can see Tohajillie, and Marquez. Keeping rule number one respect the Ranch owner and back up turn around and head back.to 550, go North to Cuba, where you can pick a restraunt for a coffee or tee break.

The moon shines down and wild Coyote cross the road howls on its way to its destination. Close by you hear the cricket loud and clear.
