Through this training, individuals gain valuable experience and develop the resilience needed to succeed in the workplace. Flour Power’s Learn @ FP, provides skills training and workshops for individuals with special needs and marginalised backgrounds. The organization offers training in a variety of areas, including baking, cooking, and team building, as well as customized training curriculum based on Universal Design for Learning. Additionally, we also offers workshops for corporate social responsibility initiatives to promote inclusive hiring and workplace practices. Flour Power exemplifies inclusivity in all aspects of its operations, including its advocacy for Universal Design for Learning and its commitment to creating a supportive and empowering environment for all individuals. Through its innovative approach to training and employment, Flour Power is changing the lives of individuals with special needs and marginalized communities, helping them to realize their full potential and contribute to society.

Our Story

Flour Power is a social enterprise bakery cm baking academy that trains individuals challenged with special needs to bake. Flour Power was founded with the hopes of empowering individuals challenged with special needs by equipping them with baking and other occupational skills. We train our employees, also affectionately known as Flour Power Heroes, to bake an assortment of confectioneries such as chiffon cakes, muffins and cookies. Our FP Heroes are also taught to package the baked goods and assist in external bake sale events and roadshows. In addition, the bakery also organises regular baking classes for students aged nine to 12 with mild intellectual disability and mild autism. At Flour Power, we embrace differences. While our cookies and cakes may not look perfect, it is made wholeheartedly and without artificial preservatives, flavouring or colouring. We hope companies and employers will be receptive to hiring individuals with special needs and enable an opportunity for them, albeit their challenges.
