Hey team ❤️
I wanted to be a bit vulnerable with you all today 😐
Most of you know I don’t often slow down, but lately my health has been reminding me that I’m not quite as invincible as I like to think I am. Between my heart history and ongoing issues with low blood pressure, I’ve had to start listening to my body and easing back where I can.
For the last year and a half I’ve run largely on determination, caffeine and stubbornness to keep the cabinets full and the ovens running. But lately my body has been reminding me that I can’t keep asking it to do the impossible.
With surgery coming up, I’ve had to take a step back in the lead-up and let my body catch up. This means there will be days where we run out of some of your favourite pies and cabinet items a little earlier than usual. There will still be plenty of delicious options available, just maybe not the full range every day.
My amazing team have really stepped up and are doing everything they can, while I’m learning that sometimes looking after my health has to come before trying to do absolutely everything myself. The rest can wait until I’m back running around causing chaos again 🤭
A good friend recently reminded me that there is no Deelish without Dee ❤️
If you have confirmed catering booked with us, don’t worry — those orders will absolutely be honoured. However, we won’t be taking on any additional catering bookings for the time being.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support. It means more than you’ll ever know.
If your favourite pie isn’t there this week, please be kind to the team. They are honestly doing their best, and I am incredibly grateful for every single one of them. 🥹❤️
The pies will be back. The meal will be back. The slices will be back. The chaos will definitely be back.
Right now, I’m just making sure Dee is too. ❤️
Love,
Dee ❤️
