A beloved classic – thin sheets of phyllo dough filled with fresh cheese.

When baked, the top turns golden and slightly crispy, while delicate layers filled with rich, young cheese melt into one another creating a soft creamy texture that keeps you reaching for another piece.

Why do I do everything myself?

I don’t mass-produce my bags. I make them in the quantity I actually need — and yes, that means I also get to learn new skills along the way.

I could easily order hundreds of bags, perfectly printed by a machine. But where’s the fun in that?

In this crazy, fast-paced world, I find something really fulfilling in making things by hand. Learning, experimenting, working on the little details… it has a value that I don’t think a perfectly mass-produced product can replace.

Maybe it’s not about everything being perfectly machine-made.

Maybe it’s about the time, the effort, the skill and the joy you put into making something yourself.

Because handmade has no price. 🤎

This month marks two years since I opened my company and Boka Bakes was born.

Two years of following a dream — to be happy doing something I love.

I truly believe we all need that little spark that makes us feel alive, that feeling that tells you to follow what you love and put your heart into it, even when you don’t know where it will take you. For me, that spark was Boka Bakes.

I’m so grateful I followed that feeling. 🤍

Today, I made čupavci—one of my favorite childhood treats. There’s something truly special about the way a single bite can take you back and bring back those warm, carefree childhood memories.

I wanted to share that feeling with all of you.

Proja is a typical Serbian traditional dish. It’s usually served for breakfast, but it’s also an integral part of every celebration.

And yes, surprise—it’s savory! Made with cornmeal and white cheese, it’s one of those homemade things that brings back memories.
