If you’re wondering where I’ve been, trust me, I’m very much here! 😄

I’ve been busy getting my hands dirty with sourdough and experimenting with different types of bread. It demands a LOT of time, patience and dedication. And honestly, it’s been challenging because I had never baked bread before!

But I’m absolutely loving the challenge. There’s something so satisfying about learning something completely new, figuring out what went wrong, trying again… and finally seeing a beautiful loaf come out of the oven. ❤️

So, sharing a few of my recent bakes from my humble little kitchen.

Sometimes the scariest orders become the ones you’re most proud of. ❤️

When my client first asked me to make this horse cake, I have to admit, I was nervous. 🙈

I wasn’t even sure I could pull it off, so I told him honestly that I couldn’t promise it would look exactly like the reference picture. He was incredibly understanding and kept his expectations realistic 😁 which took a little pressure off. 😬

But after hours of sculpting, shaping, smoothing, and adding every little detail, this beautiful horse slowly came to life… and I couldn’t stop smiling.

Is it perfect? No. 😊

As with every cake I make, I can already see a few things I’d do differently next time. But that’s the beauty of cake artistry—we learn, improve, and grow with every creation.

For now, though… I’m genuinely so happy with how this one turned out, and I’m incredibly grateful that my clients trust me enough to let me create something like this.

Thank you for believing in Cakegasmic, even when I wasn’t completely sure of myself.

My client shared an AI-generated Super Mario cake inspiration for Ethan’s birthday, and I had the chance to recreate it into a real cake for his special day.

From the yellow mystery block to the little character details, this was such a fun theme to work on. I especially loved how my client added homemade banana muffins alongside the cake, just like in the inspiration picture 💞💞

Sharing all the photos — including the original inspiration picture my client sent and a lovely party snap too. I also tried to use the colours from the cake as backgrounds to match the whole Mario theme 🍄⭐️

Always grateful to be part of these sweet celebrations.

One of my oldest clients requested a German Strawberry Cake this time, and not just any cake… she wanted it shaped as number 18

She even sent me the recipe because honestly, I had never made one before 😭
Carving the numbers were manageable.
Making the custard was also fine.
But then came the strawberry jelly topping… and THAT was where the panic began 😂

I was so worried about how I was going to contain the jelly without it flowing everywhere. Bought cake collars first, but- too flimsy. Then rushed to get acetate sheets and wrapped them around the cakes to hold everything in place while the jelly set.

Something that looked so simple turned out to be nerve-wracking experience 😅
No practice run, no testing the recipe beforehand… just pure faith and anxiety LOL.

But seeing it finally come together was honestly so satisfying 🙈
Really hoping the client loves it as much as I stressed over it 😁

Sometimes the best designs come from having no fixed theme at all!!!

All I had for this cake was an invitation card, a few colours my client wanted, and one special request — the letter “R” to take centre stage. And somehow, all those little elements came together into this bold 3design that turned out even better than I imagined.

The lightning bolt flick added into the “R” was the perfect little touch to match the high-energy birthday vibes and give the cake that extra spark ⚡✨

I absolutely love how the abstract brush strokes, metallic splashes, and playful details give this cake so much personality without trying too hard. Proof that sometimes creativity works best when you just let it flow 🙏🏻🙏🏻

A classic butter cake, transformed into a rainbow of vibrant colours to brighten anyone’s day.

From simple batter to this beautiful burst of colour, I absolutely love the transition. I removed just a thin top layer to reveal the stunning bright rainbow shades, while the rest of the cake remains blue—just like a rainbow stretching beautifully across the sky. ☁️💙

Sometimes, the simplest cakes bring the most joy. 💕
