One of my favourite parts of creating wedding cakes is watching an idea turn into something real. 🤍 When Susan got in touch to create this beauty I jumped at the chance!! My first ever long cake and I LOVED creating this beauty. 24” long chocolate biscuit cake travelled all the way over to Markree Castle Sligo, what a long trip that was, but it was so worth it for this gorgeousness. Susan asked for darker fruits and it worked perfectly for this cake in the Castle! Did it weigh a tonne? Yes! But was it worth it? 💯

And for my 2027 brides, that journey can start now.

When the sun hit this cake, those flowers just POPPED!!! and how gorgeous are these colours? This was a summer wedding but how fitting are these colours for an autumn grid post? (Yes I am that far behind with photos 😂) but honestly How gorgeous is this cake 🥹

I don’t think this design will ever age…… pearls add such an elegant touch to wedding cakes making them absolutely timeless for wedding cake designs. I loved creating this tall beauty for Laura and Alan’s wedding in Farnham Estate , it fit beautifully in the setting of this gorgeous venue!!

From Vision to Venue ➡️

You don’t need to have it all figured out—that’s my job 🤍

Working with Melanie was a dream! She had a vision of what she wanted for her wedding cake and I made it happen!!

Melanie wanted this cake design and as we spoke and discussed her vision, and what was important to her, she told me she wanted to incorporate a butterfly in her design to represent her dad that was no longer with us 🤍

As we discussed this together and thought of how we would incorporate her dad, I gave her the idea of adding a “blue” butterfly to also nod to the tradition of “something blue” on her wedding day and I explained to her that we could add it discreetly so it wasn’t the main point of view on the cake, but it still represented her dad in an honourable way and personalised the cake to her.
