As ever, looking forward to being at this Saturday with a couple of new items on the stall for you to try! For all of you who have been missing a steak bake, you know the ones from that well known high street bakery, be sad no more! There will be some on the stall but so much better, made with my all-butter flaky pastry and a rich beef and onion filling. You're welcome!
There'll also be the last of the summer strawberries in the form of strawberry and cream blondies and rhubarb and strawberry crumble and lots of other sweet and savoury goodies for you to enjoy. Look forward to seeing you soon!

As summer begins to give way to autumn, join us at Hovingham Village Market this Saturday 5th September, for seasonal produce, artisan food, handmade crafts, jewellery, art and more.

This month we have Shed Shop at the Timber Yard launching their Pumpkin Pie range of Soy Wax candles, melts & more, Wass Farm Charcuterie with some award-winning products, and gluten-free goodies from Off the Wheaten Path.

There will be a total of 50 stalls, as well as this month's charity stall Malton & Norton Fairtrade Group. We also welcome our first Young Enterprise Award trader, Marie Lau, who will be displaying her artwork on the day. Did you know? Hovingham Village Hall has secure bike racks, a handy tool station for quick fixes, and a free e-bike charging point ready to help get you all the way back home. It would be great to see visitors arriving sustainably & stress-free.

So today I had a bit of R & D and the result was bagels! Proper double proved, boiled first then baked, gluten free bagels. Thanks to Melanie Persson for the recipe. It's a work in progress but they're very tasty!

So many gluten free goodies heading to Dunnington Sports Club tomorrow! Two types of focaccia, coffee and pecan cakes, millionaire's shortbread, lemon drizzle cakes, orange and almond slices, banana and chocolate chip slices, strawberry and cream blondies, sausage rolls, curried vegetable pasties, quiches, cheese and onion rolls and custard tarts! Hope you can make it and support this new venture! 11am-3pm

Hi all! A new venue for you to stock up on your gluten free bakes! I'll be at Dunnington Craft Fair on Sunday 23rd of August between 11am and 3pm. So if you're missing your fix between Hovingham markets, please come along and say hi. All the other fabulous, independent stallholders will also love to see you - it's the first event here so your help to make it successful will be hugely appreciated!

Well it's rolled round again! Looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday. All your favourites will be on offer plus, as it's Yorkshire Day, some Yorkshire curd tarts made with my homemade curds and delicious all- butter pastry. Hope to see you there!

Very much looking forward to being back on Saturday. Lots of sweet and savoury gluten free bakes to tickle your tastebuds and as it's Independence Day, there'll be some American goodies on the stall - pecan pie, key lime pie and whatever else there's time to make! Along of course with the regular favourites and some English summertime bakes too. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Sorry to be missing everyone tomorrow. We're currently on holiday enjoying the beautiful island of Corsica. However I'll be back next month and as it's on 4th July, there'll be a bit of an American edit on the stall! Looking forward to seeing you all then!
