Hi, I’m Mel👋 The face behind moonmoon!

I’m mum to two lovely girls and a big lover of good food, yoga, music and travelling to new places.

I started moonmoon because I wanted to find better alternatives to single-use plastic for storing our food. I love finding little ways to make everyday life less wasteful, and that’s really what moonmoon is all about.

I’m so proud of what moonmoon has become, and it still makes me smile seeing our reusables in your kitchens. Thank you so much for being here and supporting us, it really does mean a lot. 💚

A little baking prep for hosting friends 🤎🍪

I’ve been loving these reusable silicone food bags from moonmoon for storing leftover cookie dough. I can bake just enough for the evening and keep the rest fresh in the freezer, ready for whenever I fancy a couple of freshly baked cookies.

Such a simple kitchen swap that helps reduce food waste and single-use plastic too.

RECIPE BELOW🍽️
If you are in need of a lazy and relaxed morning, try one of our favourite chia breakfast pots for an easy and energising start to your day.

ALL YOU NEED TO PREPARE IS:
🍨 180g any sort of yoghurt
🥛A dash of coconut milk (or any alternative) to suit required texture
🌟 20g chia seeds
✨ 1/2 - 1 tsp cinnamon

TO DECORATE:
🍌 20g cranberries or desired fruit
🍫 15g dark chocolate

FOR ADDED SWEETNESS:
🍯 A drizzle of honey to balance

Once all ingredients and topping are added, simply pop in the fridge and leave overnight to thicken, ready for an easy morning routine.

Save this for an easy breakfast tomorrow morning!

Cold & flu season is here, so we’re keeping a batch of these in the freezer 🍋🫚

Here’s what we used:
🍋 Juice of 4 lemons
🍊 Juice of 2 oranges
🫚 A generous piece of fresh ginger
✨ Fresh turmeric (or turmeric powder)
🍯 Honey, to taste
🖤 A pinch of black pepper
💧 A splash of water, if needed

Blend everything together, strain if you prefer a smoother drink, then pour into a moonmoon ice cube tray and freeze.

When you want one, pop a cube into a mug, pour over hot water, add honey to taste and stir.

Perfect for those chilly mornings when you want something warm, zingy and comforting. 🧡

One of those little swaps that makes everyday life a bit easier 🤍

Our NEW meal prep pots are perfect for leftovers, meal prep, packed lunches or just keeping food in the fridge. You can pop them in the freezer, oven or microwave (just open the vent first), then straight in the dishwasher afterwards.

They’re made from stainless steel, glass and food-grade silicone, so there’s no plastic involved and they’re built to be used again and again.
