Pov: Single tiered wedding cakes have a beauty all of their own!
When I saw these stunning images of Adam and Jasmine’s wedding cake by the incredibly talented , I realised just how much I loved single tiered cakes.
These photographs made me realise that one large cake smothered in Swiss Meringue buttercream and covered in beautiful edible flowers has all the impact of a tiered cake. Thankfully, single tiered cakes can alas be refrigerated until cake cutting time (such a relief in this heat!) which gives buttercream and flowers a longer life too!
Adam and Jasmine chose a roasted strawberry and pistachio cake with a strawberry compote and custard filling which I delivered to the restaurant where chef, Adam creates absolute culinary magic! What a privilege it has been to make your wedding cake!
