What you DON’T see… 👀

Me going in the shop at 5am making cakes before my husband goes to work and I have the kids all day!

Running a small business relies so heavily on the person running it.. and at the moment that’s me! Little shops like mine can’t always afford to pay for the help we need, so I’m working all hours of the day to get your cakes made and keep the business running 🩷 It’s even more challenging when you’re a Mum and it’s half term!!

Thank you for always supporting us and keeping my dream a reality! Even in (what feels like!!) the middle of the night I still ABSOLUTELY love making your cupcakes!!!

We are HOPING that the shop will be ready to open this week in time for the kids being off!! FINGERS CROSSED EVERYONE!!! 💛🩷💛🩷

So so proud to have been a part of Hannah and Adam’s amazing journey of Little Grazey 🥰 They have both supported me so much in the move and it’s been such a pleasure handing over knowing it’s going to the most incredible small local business! It’s been so fun chatting to Hannah about all her wonderful plans for the building… it’s going to be so incredible and IM SO EXCITED to watch it all come together!!! Forever one of my absolute besties in business, so so proud of you 🩷

NEW HOME SECURED ✅

Little Grazey will be moving to 63 DEVIZES ROAD. OLD TOWN. SWINDON.

I have a lot to say but let’s start off with “this is Adam the new Owner of Little Grazey”

I have built a great working relationship with Adam through stocking his cafes across Swindon.

I won’t bore you with the details of this decision. But I know Adam is the perfect fit to run a place like Little Grazey, alongside his fabulous team. So I’m going to keep this part short and sweet with TRUST ME ON THIS GUYS. Little Grazey is about to get really really fckin COOL 😂

I have built Little Grazey from £25 in my home kitchen. Through hard work, willingness to learn & my love for putting on a spread and CONNECTING with the people around me.

My favourite thing about Little Grazey is everything was learnt the hard way. You can’t get it right if you aren’t willing to fail whilst figuring out what “right” is. Little Grazey has taught me resilience, adaptability and how to get back to base line quickly. All of these lessons I will carry through to my next adventure.

I built it to survive motherhood and learn/grow in the only way I could make work for me and my weird and wonderful brain.

My favourite part of this is the message of Little Grazey will stay the same. Proper Sarnies, Pretty Platters & a Little bit of chaos.

Part of my job now is to support with the renovation and opening of the brand new LITTLE GRAZEY 🥺

(This sounds so well put together but I have spent days trying to word this because all I want to do is jump up and down and cry and say WWTFFFFFF IS GOING ON RIGHT NOW!!! But- “professional”.)

As always I’ll be sharing the good, the bad & the ugly on here. So it’s not goodbye from me yet!

Love ya x

I just love seeing all your happy faces choosing cupcakes.. the most popular one this month is by far the rainbow one!!! You guys just can’t get enough 🌈

Today I handed the keys to the new owners. I feel extremely emotional but also such a sense of relief! Emptying the shop, renovating GlamoRose and still baking behind the scenes has really taken its toll on me, and I’m so glad to close this chapter to start a new.

All will be revealed soon as to who is taking over… we have got so close over this project and I’m so so excited.. our little shop is going to be so loved!! Iv been so grateful for all their help in the move, it’s made it so much easier having friends on my side and so so grateful they chose number 63 🩷

Renovations are still underway in GR… hoping to open next week for half term… fingers crossed!!

I’m looking for someone local to make my cake and cupcake toppers for me!! They don’t need to be edible, they can just be card or acrylic, but they would need to be delivered as I am on my own most of the time baking so not able to get out to collect!!

We order several every week and if the price is right we would order all our toppers from you!

Please comment below or message if you think you can help 🩷

UPDATES..

I would really love to open this week. I’d love to say we could rush around, work a bit harder and longer and get it all finished ready for this weekend…

But the reality is we are still quite a way away from being ready, and I really don’t want to rush this!! Clearing out Rays shop has been an ENORMOUS job, there are years and years worth of stuff in there to sort out and go through (most of which isn’t even mine!!) but I want to do the property justice and leave it as I would like to find it.

Also the building work just takes to long.. we are having a new Rays sign made as the other one is too big for my little shop, and we need to get the coffee machine plumbed in to GlamoRose.. it’s all just lots of little niggly things which take time!

I want to make sure it’s as perfect before we let anyone in! This is a big thing for Rays and a big thing for Swindon and I need to do you all proud 🥰

Thank you to everyone who has collected cakes from the door, had their cake orders taken on the pavement, and just been so LOVELY and supportive of me and all the work! It HONESTLY means the world!

Below is another update from today.. it’s all coming together slowly but surely!

Not long now 💛🩷💛🩷
