How it's going so far...
Here's me tiredly cooking dinner with a sleepy girl who didn't want to be put down yet. I can go from a well napped, well groomed, energetic Lu to a tired wreck covered in milk, sick or poo in a matter of moments π€ͺ
Getting the hang of things finally, 7 weeks in and working out the fine balance of what she needs Vs the rest of life. The day is divided into approximately 5 pockets of time, after she's fed, been changed, winded, educated and coaxed to sleep then I may have anywhere in the region of 2 minutes to 2 hours where I can work my way through the following... eat, get dressed, nap, cook, clean, exercise, reply to all the messages, socialise... oooh we've seen so many lovely people and my midnight mum's are a godsend. The dog has taken it well too.
We've had loads of walks, been to a late night birthday bash, gone for pub meals, visited friend's houses.
She's smiled loads (and that's such a beautiful thing I sometimes cry π₯²) she chats away in the morning, she's holding her head strong and often and even attempting to swing herself in to sitting from reclined which is terrifying. She's tracking objects, doing tummy time, happy dancing around in my arms and I make her listen to my singing π€£ she falls asleep to my version of Bob Marley's Three Little Birds.
Tomorrow, in one of the gaps, I'm going to attempt to make my Nan's Cherry & Coconut cake. Wish me luck!
