Family-owned artisan bakery, proudly baking proper good food for Hucknall Welcome to Spelt and Rye. We are a new artisan bakery / deli based in Hucknall.

Our aim is to provide the community with the freshest homemade breads, free from additives and using where possible ingredients that are locally produced. We use traditional techniques that promote flavour and enhance the loaf’s freshness. The word artisan signifies handmade and that is what our breads are, ensuring the tastiest crust and crumb.

I love the new labels! Unfortunately the light obscures it a bit in the photo but they're all so beautiful in person 🤩

We had a new review so I thought I'd scroll through all of our recent ones and wow! We have some amazing ones. Thank you so much to everyone that has given us a review on Google, it always makes me smile when we get a new one ☺️

We massively appreciate everyone that recommends us to their family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues as well. We know it makes a difference because every week we meet a new customer that has come in because someone else told them they need to! So thank you to any and all of you that choose to talk about us and share our products! You guys help keep us going 🫶

(Also I think the last guy meant carbs not crabs! For the record we do not sell crabs! Only delicious, delicious carbs 😋)

We've got a few things past their best before date so we've made this cute little sale section for the shop 🤗

They're all pretty shelf stable things, dried spices and vinegar mostly, but obviously check them before eating! If anything has gone bad we will refund you
