It's window cleaning day at Powell's which means you finally get a proper pie window shot 😂
So here's our beauty our Vegan Wellington.
Fun fact for you the original Beef Wellington was named after the Duke of Wellington, and it was all about wrapping something fancy in pastry to make it go further. We do the same, but ours is mushrooms, leeks , and all the other good stuff wrapped in our vegan pastry. No meat needed.
This is what we mean when we say we're an equal pietunity pie shop.
Our aim now is to make EVERY single filling we do have a regular, vegan, and gluten free option. So no one has to stand at that clean window going "I can't have that one” 😂

We're starting something new. Every month we're going to do a PIE OF THE MONTH and we're kicking it off with Septembers LUNA'S MAC & CHEESE you can see it here saving someone's journey home in motorway traffic, sponsored by us 😂 creamy mac, cheesy sauce, golden top.

We were inspired by the greatest little independent cinema The Island Cinema - St Annes how they do their film of the week and bring people together. We wanted to do the same but with pies.
So for Luna's launch we want to give one of you a box of 4 FREE.

Remember when we asked you to guess the ingredients for the new permanent pie?
Closest guess was bacon 👀 you weren’t far off!
Say hello to OUR PUNTERS CHICKEN PIE 😍
It’s our take on Hunters Chicken bbq chicken and smoked bacon in a flaky shortcrust pastry.
If you pre order you can have it topped with cheese + crispy bacon + cracked black pepper (optional)
Fun fact: Hunters chicken is said to have come from somewhere in central Italy, nobody knows exactly where
They’re on the main menu from today.

A little change to the counter 🥧
After 5 years on the menu, we’re sadly benching Luna’s Breakfast Pie.
But don’t worry in its place we’re bringing back Luna’s Macaroni & Cheese Pie. This was actually our daughter Luna’s original choice when we started 🧀All our family favourite pies are based on our family’s favourite meals, and this one’s always been a Powell house hit.
And don’t worry, there will be a vegan version available just like there was for the Breakfast Pie 🌱We’ve still got lots of different pies on the counter today, and keep your eyes peeled for next week’s reveal of the new pie 👀

It’s so nice seeing the support our community gives to local businesses, and how so many will always choose community over competition.
